Thank you for taking time to understand more what is happening in Chuck's life! This cancer has been a huge shock and reminder that no one knows what may happen tomorrow! Our hopes in sharing is to keep clear communication every step along this adventure. We are so thankful for you, our family and friends! We also want to pray for you in your lives, so please share how we can give back to you in this way, Chuck and Pam

Chuck is so much better than last post when he was feeling "different"!  We asked God to allow family special visits over the weekend and He did!  Chuck was able to enjoy time with 6 grandkids and Jessie & Kendal and Jinelle & Mike.  He has developed a couple bed sores and we pray healing on those along with prayer for his cough and that yucky mucous to completely disappear.  Since Chuck was doing so poorly last Wednesday and we asked you to pray, we want to share these blessings from the past 4 days and our thanks for your prayers:

~Thursday morning Chuck felt better so Jinelle brought over breakfast providing precious alone time, and later in the day her and Mike surprised us with a Christmas tree along with bringing supper to spend the evening together. They stayed at Mike's parent's home to allowed rest as needed.
~Friday(my birthday), they picked up flowers that their Dad had asked them to get (yellow lillies to match those in our wedding) along with unexpected gifts from the kids. Colden (3 1/2) and Rory (1 1/2) were excited to help Nana open gifts and celebrate then were quickly off to sledding in the snow.
~Friday noon Chuck asked for noodles and dressing! Thanksgiving dinner is better late than never.  (I had saved it hoping to enjoy it together) so when Jinelle stayed for lunch we celebrated and Chuck cleaned up his plate feeling  the best he has felt for weeks!
~After lunch the doorbell rang, and I found my brother had driven all the way from Rockford to surprise us; celebrating my birthday and sharing in person his love for Chuck and admiration for him on this journey!
~Jessie & Kendal arrived Saturday for a quick 23 hour visit with Jonah (9), Clara (7), Sierra (5), & Sawyer (3) wanting time to see Papa after praying for him for so long.  God again provided incredible visits and sharing with our faith at the core and prayer for God to move in His way and in His time!  After lunch together the kids were off and playing outside & Chuck taking a nap.  Jinelle invited the cousins over to play at Mike's folks home providing alone time for Jess and Kendal with us.  Chuck was attentive and we prayed for the authority God has over all sickness and disease.  Saturday night Kendal fixed Chuck a fish dinner, and we all enjoyed early bedtime.
~Sunday morning provided opportunity for the Baker family to gather around Chuck and each of the kids joined their parents to pray.  How precious were Chuck's words as he lifted each of them up to God asking for their faith to be strong and choices to be wise as they grow!!
~Late morning with 6 little ones preparing to leave, God opened a window for the six adults to pray together and give one more special time to surrender Chuck to God's healing!  By noon the house was quiet and sleep was calling for the rest of the day.

God answered our prayer for Chuck, and we received a special gift these past four days of family, prayer, great conversations on God's work in our lives, and grandkids laughter around Papa's bed.  As a family we are united in our faith and committed to work together to seek Holy Spirit power every step of the way! Discussions on healing and listening to the Spirit have deepened our love for each other and for God!   Chuck's verse this weekend has been: “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”  Matt 6:33.
This means putting Jesus and the things of the Spirit first in our lives. Surrendering loved ones to God comes as we believe God's ways are best.  Life here needs to focus more on Heaven and PARADISE to keep our perspectives.

We are still praying that God is not finished with Chuck here in Eagle River!  This would mean a miracle of physical healing.  We ask for God to move and either show us it is time for PARADISE or it is time to watch Him heal and share God's power and purpose here!  Please keep praying miracles to come soon as we wait for God to move.  God never changes and He does all things well.  This song shares these truths:
