Dad joined Chuck in Heaven Saturday night... He was also a very special man in my life!

Thank you Family and Friends for your continued prayers and support.   After Chuck died my Dad has taken special interest in caring for me, his Eagle River daughter.  Nightly I would call him for the last few years so we had a very special relationship.  He would call me his "8 o'clock daughter".  It has been a very sweet time to nightly know he was checking in with me and his many pointers of advise have been helpful in selling homes and financial decisions,  He was a very wise man.  I hope we will play "Well Done" at his service for his leadership was appreciated by many and his faith was strong.  Please continue to pray for me for I am leaning in more and more on Holy Spirit power these days!  I am learning  that God's Love is greater than Chuck's could ever be and now God's care for me is better than my Dad's care.  It has been 3 years since my Mom passed away and Dad was so excited to join her and Chuck in Heaven!

“Let each generation tell its children of Your mighty acts; let them proclaim Your power...The Lord is close to all who call on Him…He hears their cries for help and rescues them! He protects all those who love Him. “     Psalm 145.   I thank God for Godly men and these two have loved and cared for me!

One other note for you all:  I had a total knee replacement 5 weeks ago and am planning the second knee on Nov 3rd.  It has been special to have this done in St Cloud, MN and rehab at Jinelle's house with other kids close by.  My first knee offered me time to see 9 out of 11 grandkids and 7 out of 8 of my kids!  Life is sweet and God is in control!  He is ALWAYS GOOD!

Family gathers to move Chuck's Memorial to a garden at our homesite!

Labor Day weekend provided a time for the family to come home and help with projects and share special memories as we floated the Memorial gazebo from one end of the resort to the other.  We prepared a spot on the shoreline overlooking both Anvil Lake and Zaugg's Resort where we plan to build a garden and Chuck's Memorial.  The past couple weeks have brought transition as each of our rental chalets is now sold and I now longer own the resort.  I have moved back home and look forward to keeping this place as a place for my kids and grandkids to come and spend time together.  The weekend was filled with love and laughter, hard work and fun competitions, and special times.  God continues to carry our family as we thank Him for Papa and continue to build on memories he started.  Thank you for your prayers.  Please know you are invited to stop by and renjkpoy this memorial taking time to reflect on how Chuck's life has influenced you!

Romans 15:13 reminds us as we keep our focus on Paradise that in these crazy days we can live in Hope and joy!  “May the God of all Hope fill you with all Joy and Peace as you Trust in Him.  Then you will Overflow with confident Hope through the Power of the Holy Spirit!”

Chuck's Memorial Gazebo reflects a season of transition and trust

Thank you all for your prayers as I continue in transition these past 8 months.  Chuck's memorial gazebo has offered a sweet place to share God's goodness and the many ways He carries us.  Friends have come and sat down viewing a beautiful lagoon and the resort grounds  overlooking Anvil Lake.  You are all invited to join me before we move this gazebo from chalet five to our home at the south end of the resort.

There are now three plaques on the three chairs we have in the gazebo:

COME  SIT  WITH  ME  IN  PARADISE (Yes we need to remember Chuck's challenge to join him in Heaven!)

God carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Himself Exodus 19:4 (God is carrying us daily as we learn to trust His ways are better and higher than our ways!)

Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength; they will soar high on wings like eagles  Isaiah 40:31. (We sense God leading us to new things as we view life from His perspective! He gives us strength!)

Come visit Chucks memorial gazebo; celebrating His life

Backwoods Laser Specialties helped make a granite plaque to honor Chucks life. It is displayed in his Memorial Gazebo floating here at Zauggs Resort. Please come visit and take time to share memories with me as we sit and overlook his Northwoods Paradise.

Seven months later: we choose to praise

Today daughter Jessie shared a piece of our journey at her church. It speaks well of how we are doing and how God is carrying us!  I pray you will both be blessed and also see how to apply this to your situation and difficulty. Thank you for all your prayers!

Today we celebrate 44 years of marriage; Chuck in Heaven's Paradise and me here in our Northwoods paradise

It has been 6 months since Chuck left me for Heaven and life will never be the same..  God has been carrying me in amazing ways and I want to thank each of you for your prayers and encouragement!  I am living life on the wings of an eagle soaring as I place my hopes on Jesus!  He is helping me to walk and not faint and run and not grow weary!  Isaiah 40:31

“Those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.  They will soar high on wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary.  They will walk and not faint”

As I reflect on our marriage and celebrate today God has taken the verse that Chuck claimed to teach me a deeper trust in His ways are Always best.  Proverbs 3:5-6:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths!”

Our marriage was deep, passionate and intimate.  I miss Chuck's touch and tenderness terribly, but God has shown us His love is even more passionate and more tender and even more intimate!  Completeness can only be found in Jesus.  I have to discipline my mind to keep this focus as often I find myself wishing things were different.  Please keep praying for me!  However God has a new life for me here and as I move forward I hope to invite each of you to come and spend time in Chuck's Northwoods Paradise!
"I will trust in God's unfailing love.  I will rejoice because He has rescued me!"  Psalm 13:5

Live your lives well! God continues to lead.....

Thank you Friends for all your prayers and cards these past 18 weeks!  It has been quite the interesting time with the Covid-19 and Shelter at Home along with now starting to prepare for summer here at the resort without Chuck!

Chuck had wanted to share God's goodness and His faithfulness throughout his illness with all and that is my goal this summer as our guests come to visit.  We also received sweet donations to build a Memorial Garden for Chuck here along Anvil Lake and hope to have it ready to show you and share how God has worked!

Lastly we have decided to downsize... even before Chuck's passing, and I am trying to sell our four 4-bedroom chalets.  I believe God wants me to keep The Lodge and share it with larger families, meaning our big family can also enjoy it 9 months of the year and rent it during the summer to others.

God is now my Husband and He promises to love me even better than Chuck did as I stay close to Him.  He is passionate in His love and even though it is hard to imagine anyone who could be as passionate and loving as Chuck was, I am claiming that God's ways are ALWAYS the best ways and better than we can imagine.  I pray each of you know how much our God loves us!

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways,” says the Lord, “for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts!”  Isaiah 55:8-9

God knows and continues to carry us

Thank you all for praying for our family!  God continues to carry us!  He has given us precious time together and many promises. Yesterday I was given this gift to remind me of what our son Jeff shared at the celebration service. I pray it will challenge each of you as it has myself.

Thank you and please remember our home is open for you to come visit!  The service video is still on line and I find it so God filled to watch again and again. We miss Chuck terribly but are trying to keep our focus on God here working in our lives!
We love you and please keep in touch!

Lean not on your own understanding!”
“Fear not for I am with you!”
“All things work together for good to those who love God”
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I WILL FEAR NO EVIL!”
