Journal entry by Bernard Franklin, Ph.D. —
Dear Family and Friends,
Last Saturday's service in Bulverde was held in a small country church. We included the traditional "drive by" our home before heading to the cemetery. Chris is resting under shade trees in a small perpetual care cemetery surrounded by pastures and rolling hills. My farm guy is in his element. We had family and friends from coast to coast come and even from overseas. The outpouring of love and support was overwhelming.
With the family and friends returning to their homes, now begins the hard work of healing. Although things have changed some things are eternal. I grieve with hope. We will see each other again.
I want to express my thanks not only for those able to come, but also for all the calls, texts, cards, flowers, gifts and donations to Chris's charity. I have tried diligently to keep track so as to write my personal thanks but some came without gift tags. So, I will express my thanks here.
I continue to covet your prayers both for myself and my family. I pray we will grieve with grace, and that His grace will ease the pain.
Much love to you all,
Lucy
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Christopher's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
