Lucy I am very sorry I could not make it to the Celebration of Life for Chris. He really meant a lot to me, and I feel badly that I was not able to honor him by being there. In case you did not get the message I sent with a gift, the heart pillow was from me. I think about you often and wanted to give you something that might help comfort you during this difficult time.

Lucy, I very much appreciate your inviting us all into Chris’ final struggle in this life, as you went through it with him. I pray that this was alsothe worst struggle in which you will personally have to prevail during the remainder of your time on earth. I quite regret that Fauhn and I were unable to participate in person in any farewell events held in honor of Chris following his departure.

While we never had the opportunity to become close buds, Chris was a good and reliable friend. On two occasions during the last few years of my career with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company he asked me if I would be able to give him and a few family members a tour of our aircraft factory and assembly line. I was quite happy to accommodate, and enjoyed providing the tours and appreciative of the time together. I recall those times fondly.

Fauhn and I will continue to join in praying with and for you as you press forward in your new life, seeking out whatever assignments God has for you, and as you execute them, that God will enable you to do well, in the strength and wisdom of The Holy Spirit, the Great Comforter.
