Hello amazing friends and family. I wanted to give you an update since it’s been such a long time. Caeser continues to do pretty well. He is back to working from home while our son Andrew manages the job site. Caeser occasionally gets out there as well but for short visits. He does get tuckered out often and does take naps throughout the day. His stamina is getting better but still has a long way to go. He also feels weak and woozy on occasion but most of the time he’s ok.
His blood sugar is better and continues to take a long acting medicine every night. Each morning his blood sugar is within the range of where the Dr would like it to be so that is great. He will continue to have a follow up with an endocrinologist to manage that.
His wound is healing very nicely. This is going to sound silly but God actually has done a great job of perfecting the human body. 😂 It is literally healing itself. I’m in awe. 🤛🏼❤️
He sees a wound Dr every 2 weeks to evaluate and debride the wound. (Basically removes the yucky stuff) to allow healthy tissue to surround it and this promotes healing. Those docs are impressed by the changes.
He had an appointment to see the plastic surgeon yesterday. We’ve been wondering how this is was going to go having yet another surgery to fix his wound. The great news is and as God would have it the Dr said he doesn’t need a skin graft. 🙌🏼🙌🏼 this is because of healing that is already occurring. What?? That’s amazing!!
We are very happy about that. Thank you Jesus.
His ulcerative colitis, we think, is the current problem. He has been having tummy issues which makes it difficult to leave the house for any length of time. I know first hand of your amazing prayers and the impact they had on Caeser’s healing but also my strength in dealing with it all. You all know how to pray!! If you don’t mind, we would really appreciate some prayers for this to heal as well.
Caeser has several Dr appointments coming up this month so hopefully we will get to the bottom of what’s going on.
He continues to sing and play guitar at mass each week and we have not forgotten the power of prayer and the miracles God has bestowed on him and our whole family. He continues to amaze us and we continue to give Him praise and honor for all of the good and challenges He allows us to endure. God is so good.
