Welcome to Caeser’s CaringBridge Site

It's been a while since I have updated you on our favorite Lebanese friend. I wanted to wait until this week to give you an accurate update since this week we had several doctor appointments. I'm really sorry that this will be so long.
Caeser is getting better and stronger every day. He had physical therapy 2x/ week and we have now decreased that to once a week since he is improving. He walks now on his own and has been for a few weeks. He no longer needs his walker and has exercises to do to build up his strength which is a work in progress.
He sees a wound Dr. once a week but today we have been moved to seeing him in 2 weeks 🙌 His wound is shrinking in size and every time the doc sees it he is impressed with the healing process. He also has an appointment to see that plastic surgeon in 2 months to see what the possibility of a flap vs skin graft vs nothing. We will need to see how the healing process continues at that time.
His blood sugar is not bad. He did have an appointment today and will need to start taking insulin every day to keep that under control. That will be something new for him but will are getting used to trying new things.
His Ulcerative Colitis seems to be under control as well and he continues to take medication daily to keep that at bay.
His blood pressure has been much better as well. He has been taking meds 2x/day for that but is going to hold them for now because that is causing him to be too low in the BP department.
Soooo, to sum it all up, he is a walking miracle. He has been going to mass each week and started just attending, then singing a few songs, then added the guitar and at the Easter Vigil he sang the psalm we have been singing for over 20 years. It was a definite challenge for him but by the grace of God he made it through. There have been miracles among miracles each day and we can still feel your prayers. We appreciate each and every one of you. We have received so many meals, cards, calls, visits, texts .... We are eternally grateful. There really are no words to express our gratitude. You have been the body of Christ.
in Christs love,
Jane
