I just met Bill in Sept at the Cape May Rendezvous. He entertained and delighted with his expert birding and humor. BT3 will forever be the 'gold standard', not only of birders, but the human race . And every time I see a cowbird...

Through your blogs, books, and birding trips, I have gained so much. After reading the bucket list, I went to work on connecting with Jeff Tweedy through my cousin, Nels Cline of Wilco. Sadly, we ran out of time. For a great man taken too soon.

I didn’t have the pleasure and honor of knowing this lovely man, but In some small way I share his passion for birds and life. Since I too lost my first husband to pancreatic cancer I understand the courage he brought to facing down this illness.RIP BT3

Hi Bill .. we wish you the best with your bucket list have a lot more ticks taking things off.. thank you for all the joys of birding and life you and family have brought us thru the years.. BTW.. Gyr and Hawaii are on our bucket list too..

Praying for your recovery

To Bill and Family, I to have a terminal illness that I've been fighting for 13 years. 8-10 years past the expected average end of life. I also know that my time is getting shorter every month. The comments that are on this site will be a big help to me.
