A very heartfelt thank you to my long time friend and HS soccer teammate, Howard Dieter and his family for demonstrating the kind of grit and determination that it takes to overcome obstacles and accomplish the mission. With the help and support from all of you, they raised a significant amount of money to support leukemia research and further advance life-saving treatments. Thank you all!

Howard's post event recap and a personal thank you follows.  Onward brother,
Bryan

As I wrap up the Triple Bypass weekend, I wanted to share a few things from along the journey…

First, this event was far from an individual effort, there were over 600 volunteers to help along the way including a significant presence from the Colorado State Police to keep us safe. I had support from Kelly, my wife, and Sydney, my older daughter who met me at Loveland Basin with some dry clothes and at the finish line to help celebrate. My younger daughter, Kelsey, is a Paramedic, and was helping others on shift but she, along with many family members and friends, provided uplifting text messages during the ride.

My second observation is what can be accomplished working within your circle of influence. Together, we raised almost $6500 for LLS in Bryan’s honor! This certainly exceeded my expectations. Contributions and encouragement came in from my family and friends along with many people that I have never met. Regardless, we banded together to make a difference. I am honored to count you all in my circle of influence for this event and greatly appreciate your support and encouragement!

Finally, this was a one-day event voluntarily challenged the limits of my physical and mental toughness. The Evergreen mountain bike team was positioned along the route providing encouragement for riders. Their sign read, “Remember, you paid for this!” Made me laugh during a particularly difficult segment. However our neighbors, friends and family members confronted with medical conditions, face daily challenges both mentally and physically. Let us be mindful of those in need and what we can do in our lives to help others within our circle of influence.

Signing off with much love and gratitude for you all! Howard
