This journey has been hard to predict. I am not sure why I seem to always want to know what is next. "What will tomorrow be like?" or "Bryan is so much stronger today, he will feel even better tomorrow!" I am now certain that I know ZERO about how chemotherapy works and I must not have any expectations at all.
This past week was as unpredictable as the one before. After a good report from Dr. Toma, Bryan got his chemotherapy (a full dose ) and the next three days of fluids and shots. He went down quickly on Tuesday afternoon which did not surprise either of us. He seemed to rebound overnight and the next few days weren't too bad. Friday he was up and talkative and then by Friday night he started to go down hill. Saturday was rough and today has been as well. I think the chemo has just knocked him back pretty hard. It will be good to get some labs tomorrow and some fluids.
How to pray:
For our weariness. We both are struggling with this. I could just continue to ask for strength, but today I felt the need to just say it! We are weary.
That the chemo will continue to shrink the tumor and Bryan will feel better!
"The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 33:27
