Lots of updates!! Sorry it’s been a while!!

Leonidas:
Sunday May 19 he got transferred to Children’s Hospital for close his PDA. Transferring was rough and very stressful for his little self (his vitals show this), so we will have a couple of days to get comfy and destress.
Gabby got to meet Leo at Children’s Hospital!!!
Wednesday May 22 Leo got his hole, his PDA, closed. He had a device placed in his heart called the Piccolo device. The surgeon said that it was a very large hole, and it was larger than his aorta. That was all the talk for a couple days, how big it was lol.
Gabriella got to see Leo before surgery! She was very soft and told him what a great job he’s going to do!
Thursday May 23 Leo had an echo, showed some depression in the left side of his heart still. They said it’ll take time for his heart to learn how to pump properly and figure out what it’s doing per se.
Friday May 24 Babies are one month old!!!!
Saturday May 25 Leo got extubated (his breathing tube taken out)
Leo got his first bath!!!! He loved it until the water started to get a little chilly!
Tuesday May 28  Leo started steroids to help his lungs with inflammation and being able to expand better, trying to help him respiratory wise
Wednesday May 29 Leo got his fifth heart echo in the morning, they said his left ventricle was enlarged, but overall his heart looked better than a week ago.. positive things!! Next heart echo shouldn’t be until around June 21st (30 days post op)
Leo got transferred from Children’s Hospital back to Bergan! Yay for Isabella and Leonidas being together again!!!!
Friday May 31 Leo moved from BiPap to CPAP for his breathing devices!
Leo also had a head ultrasound today, he does have a very small head bleed in his left ventricle. They are confident it will absorb and appears to be older blood and is not actively bleeding. They are watching his head closely and will have another ultrasound at a later date.
Tuesday June 4 Leo got moved off of CPAP and onto Vapotherm!!! Huge respiratory change for him! Yay!! Today is also day 10 with steroids, so they won’t down his oxygen or try and “test” him for the next few days.
Wednesday June 5 Gabby got help with a bath and loved it!!
Thursday June 6 Leo’s feeds got moved up to 30ml (1ounce!). He gets fed this over a two hour period, starting every 3 hours.

Isabella:
Wednesday May 22 Izzy girl had another newborn screen done, labs, and a 30 day head ultrasound. Newborn screen was great, and so was the head ultrasound!! Labs were mostly good, some “bone labs” were off so they will retest at a later date before starting any meds.
Friday May 24 Gabby got to meet her sister Isabella today, finally!!!!!
Babies are one month old!!!!
Monday May 27 Gabby visited Izzy girl again, talked to her a lot, gave her soft touches and held her hands, gabby also “fed” Izzy with a long q-tip and a dip of mamas milk. They both loved it!
Tuesday May 28 Miss Isabella got moved down on her respiratory needs, she went from 4liters per minute on the vapotherm device to 3liters per minute!
Wednesday May 29 upped feeds to 25ml over a 2 hour period, starting every 3 hours
Little brother Leo joined Izzy at Bergan, yay!!!
Sunday June 2 Isabellas first bath!!!! She loved it!!
Wednesday June 5 Izzy girl and Leo got to lay next to eachother!! This is the first time they’ve seen/felt eachother since birth.
Gabby helped with bath time and loved it so much!!
Izzy girl got moved to 2 liters per minute on the vapotherm, typically 21-23% oxygen.
Thursday June 6 Isabellas feeds got moved up to 30ml (1ounce!). She gets fed this over a two hour period, starting every 3 hours.
