We are so grateful you are all on this journey with us.

This week we celebrated Brenda's birthday and were thrilled to have so many family members gathered together. To kick off birthday week, we made dumplings together and Brenda's eyes lit up just seeing her bamboo steamer out!

 

The past 2 months, Brenda has continued her clinical trial with various pauses along the way to manage the side effects, like effects on her liver and pancreas. It is a careful balance managing all of the medications and how they work together. Our Dana Farber team and visiting nurses have been incredible in reacting to whatever issues arise and focusing on how to help Brenda. After a few weeks of severe pain, we've figured out how to best relieve the pain for now and Brenda has been able to get back to enjoying things together. The team will continue to monitor the tumor and blood work and adjust to best support Brenda.

 

Our weekly care team has expanded to a combination of dear family and friends rotating nighttime sleepovers with Brenda and a daytime caregiver to help while Rich is teaching. We are grateful for the role each of you play in our village supporting Brenda. It is a blessing to see many of you during meal drop offs and enjoy the generous meals. It has been a concert of 80 families helping to provide meals and we are overwhelmed by that physical gift and the many more people that provide thoughts and prayers always - we feel the love and love you all very much.
