Welcome to Ben’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportBen enjoyed a beautiful weekend, filled with baseball and family gatherings. He is currently enjoying a piece of Aunt Joyce's homemade pie and watching the new calves playing in the pasture. He is feeling significantly better, but still has a few residual cold symptoms. He is scheduled for an immunoglobulin infusion on Friday which will likely boost his immune system. In addition to the infusion, he will also have labs. Please say a prayer that everything continues to remain stable. We are now entering the final weeks of the 23-24 school year. Ben is excitedly discussing everything he would like to accomplish this summer. He is approaching the end of his Behind the Wheel training, which means he will be eligible to schedule his driver's test in the near future. The Canada trip he has waited so long for is on the books in June. We are tentatively planning a New York trip later in the summer. He is also selecting courses for his senior year. We are so very grateful to see Ben looking towards the future. We pray with every fiber of our being that he continues to do well and this horrible disease remains in remission. Ben has also been blessed with a unique perspective on what is truly important in life. He is incredibly empathetic to all those suffering and in pain. He asks repeatedly how he can help and what we can do to make it better for them. We have all been shown tremendous kindness and generosity throughout Ben's cancer journey. We believe that the number of genuinely good people far outweigh the negativity that we have all grown so accustomed to hearing about. We intend to pay this kindness forward whenever possible. Tonight we give thanks for good friends and family. We pray for healing for all those suffering and in pain. We pray that they remain hopeful and faithful in their difficult journey. Good night and God Bless from our little slice of heaven on Keyesville Ridge.
