Journal entry by Phebe Warren —
Hello Sweet Friends 😊,
Today marks three months since mom's passing on May 20. It is truly hard to believe that she has been gone for 92 days. I am amazed at how the time has played tricks on me ... at some points (especially in the early weeks), moving so heart-wrenchingly slow and then in these past couple months, moving with an almost frantic speed.
Chris, Jen and I are each continuing to move through the stages of our grief in order to process this tremendous loss. However, I do believe that we are each in a very good place at present and we all recognize that this is exactly what mom would wish.
Mikki & I just returned home from visiting Chris a bit south of Tucson, where he purchased a beautiful home and I am thrilled that he is happily settled with many family furnishings, mementos and pictures around him (I have a few pix below for you to view)! I know mom is beaming down with joy 😇!
Jen, John, Sam & Jess are busy and healthy. Sam is back in Spokane presently working as a Behavior Technician for children with developmental disabilities and preparing to begin her Junior year at Gonzaga University. Jess is about to start as a Freshman at University of Washington in Seattle (hopefully free from the CHAZ/CHOP rioting 😳). Jen & John are still doing amazing volunteer work with foster children in the valley and I am in awe of their tireless commitment, energy, dedication and work for justice.
I painted mom's room and did a little redecorating -- in fact, I have been busy with putty & paint due to some whoopsies (as mom would call them) that occurred when wheelchair or walker unexpectedly plowed full force into walls, doorways, or other home structures some months ago 😂 😝??? Who's naming names? Let's just say, the guest suite is ready for visitors and/or structural inspection. Other than the home projects, my practice is thriving and I am blessed with wonderful clients who are incredibly self-motivated and actively engaged in the process of transformative healing. Mik continues to be my little Love Bug 🥰.
As many of you already know, due to the uncertainties surrounding Covid, we will not be having a general service for mom, but rather a private memorial in November which will be video taped. We will send a copy via e-mail to anyone who wishes to view the service. When all is very clear and safety can be guaranteed, we will determine the best date for a celebration of mom's/Bebes' life in 2021. Thank you for your patience, support, love, understanding and friendship during these months.
We love you,
Phebe 💗and the Furry one 🐶
