May 7, 2024
It's been almost two months since I have posted anything here, and what a busy, but good time.  It has been so nice to be home, to be with friends and family, and to worship at our own congregation!  We had quite a lot of catch-up work to do, especially bookwork.  And since we were gone over December, January, and February, it was high time to work on end-of-year tax stuff.  I feel like we are pretty caught up now, although there's still plenty to do such as washing windows which I'm sure most of you have done this spring already 😉.
I had a phone consultation with a post cancer treatment doctor from Envita.  She was very easy to visit with and not in a hurry.  Wow! How lucky can I be?  I had a lot of questions!!  I had a PET scan done about two weeks ago, and also some labwork done prior to that.  She said my labwork looked very good.  My PET scan still shows lesions, and the radiologist that wrote the report advised that it may be beneficial to do a bone marrow biopsy (painful😢).  They are concerned that I would not develop multiple myeloma.  However, my doctor said it would be fine to put that biopsy off until I develop symptoms, if I ever do.  As of now I am feeling good.  I think I do still get tired sooner than I used to before the cancer.  I do great if I get nine hours of sleep a night.  Is that because of the cancer, or because of getting older??  Dr. Ware put a lot of stock in that I was feeling good.  She said that feeling good, together with the PET scan results, is a sign that the disease is stable.  By that she means that the cancer is not spreading.  The PET scan did not show a lot of improvement, but no regression either.
I have been doing a few things on my own. I am using some Young Living products...taking Ningxia Red, applying Frankincense oil and Cloves oil to my spine.  I have been using a frequency device most days, and have also been walking 1.25 miles per day.  Dr. Ware was impressed with all of these things and said they would stand me in good stead.  She wants me to take a high dose vitamin C, which is an IV injection.  She also advised me to either take curcumin or cook with tumeric.  This powerful ingredient has a 53% cancer cell death rate!
Overall the doctor (and we) are happy that it is going as good as it is.  Thanks to you all for your prayers!
