Journal entry by Ann Schmidt

Yes, I am home...Praise be to our Heavenly Father for his goodness!  I am feeling good...no pain.  I think I still tire a little sooner than I used to.  I have been asked numerous times "So, are you cancer free now?"  The scientific answer to that is no, and neither are any of you.  We all have cancer cells in our bodies.  The challenge is to keep them from growing and becoming tumors.  I don't know if all of my lesions are gone, but my doctor says that I am now headed in the right direction.  What I have learned from this experience is it is important to keep our bodies from becoming inflamed, make sure we are as alkaline as possible, eat and drink clean (no sugar, eat organic whole foods, grass-fed or wild caught meats, raw dairy products, old-fashioned grain products, such as Einkorn)  Talk about a challenge!  Stress is also a big factor in keeping cancer under control.  Sleep in a dark, cool room 8-9 hours per night.  Here is Envita's Home Therapy Instructions:
                                                       Paleo Mediterranean Diet
Meditation/Prayer/quiet reflection AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE
Gratitude journaling at least 10-20 minutes per day
Focused, deep, slow breathing for at least 5 minutes twice/day
They are also keeping me on a variety of supplements.  And, I am continuing to do the frequency treatments.  I will do some imaging also.  They don't just send you away in the dark, but provide you with a home coordinator that you can talk to anytime.

The day before I left Scottsdale, Arizona, God blessed me with an inspiration.  Everett and I had just finished our walk around Fountain Park and had sat down on a bench to watch the fountain.  This is a man-made geiser that shoots water way up in the air on the hour for 15 minutes.  As we were watching I seen a rainbow towards the top of that tower of water.  It was beautiful!  I had never seen that before, although we had watched that fountain many times.  The thought came to me this is for you, Ann.  Things will be better, take courage.  The next day was my last at Envita, and as the custom is there, you "ring the bell" on your last day.  If you want, you can give a little speech right there in the lobby.  The nurses and doctors come in to listen, and whoever happens to be in the lobby at the time.  So I told that little experience, hoping that it would give them courage, too.  A young lady came up to me afterward.  She said it was her first day there and she was scared and that this experience had given her hope.  Thanks be to God for His goodness!  I do miss the friends I made at Envita.  They were a source of daily inspiration to me.  One of them has gone to his reward.  He was very, very sick when he came there, but had a wonderful wife and family.  May God bless them with His comfort!

I want to thank all of you, my family and friends, for your prayers for me.  Please continue to pray.  The cancer battle is never completely won.  But God has granted me the opportunity to live for now.  None of us know the time we have left.  I want to live so that whatever the future is, it is good.
