Welcome to Ames’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportQuick update on Ames. We are now at +72 days post-transplant and hopefully nearing the end of our time here at St. Jude. Ames had his bone marrow biopsy on May 17th and all results were negative for evidence of disease and his counts are continuing to rise. He is now off of the TPN and eating a little better. Parker is now staying with us and requiring Ames to be more active. Parker wants to play football and basketball all day long. This has been such a hard journey and this week I have done a lot of reflecting on the past 2 1/2 years. Our community has been so kind to our family and has really stepped up to help us in any way they can. There are such kind people in the world, and we have really seen the Lord provide for our family through them. Our weeks are no longer filled with many appointments and we are down to about 2 visits/week at the hospital. Please continue to keep Ames in your thoughts and prayers in the upcoming weeks. He will have another bone marrow biopsy in a few weeks and we ask for prayers that the marrow will be negative for any evidence of disease. Thank you for following along on this journey and praying for our family. We will hopefully be heading home soon!
