Sign In to Show Your SupportIt’s been a bit since I have updated and a lot has happened. I had another scan in January and it was confirmed that my tumor is still stable so I am able to continue the course I am on and still put off HIPEC surgery for now. I had fluid build up and got drained this past Tuesday. It was the least amount I have been drained at under 2 liters over the longest period of time which also confirms to me that what we are doing is working!
yesterday, May 2, I felt very strange in the morning and couldn’t keep my balance and my speech was very slurred. Dan took me to the ER where they decided to lifeline me to Methodist where it was confirmed I had a stroke and artery blockage in my brain and neck. I had a procedure where both were cleared. I am praising God that it wasn’t worse than it was- that I am alive with no brain damage. I am recovering very well. They are doing lots of tests on me to look at my body as a whole to figure out why I am getting blood clots as some were found in my lungs as well. I am very grateful for the doctors and nurses here and the wonderful care i am getting, but I can’t wait to get back home to my family.
