Journal entry by Allie Kiecker

Yesterday was rough. The last drug still just kicks my butt. We had to pause to check vitals, which are always just fine. So their orders are always to push through, but it was hard. The feeling is very difficult to describe, as it is more than just the tongue not working.

My devotion yesterday was another reminder that planning should not be my focus. The doctor checked my blood work, and noted that platelets are just under normal (they have been slowly decreasing which is normal during treatment). The one that she explained a bit more was the liver numbers also dropped. If those continue to trend down, then we will probably need to give my body a break. This, of course, would push out all the plans. Ugh!

Today, I am mostly feeling better. I slept hard overnight, which always helps. Nurse Holly checked in this morning, and Lea was nice enough to plan on taking the boys to school so that Travis could go to work today.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10
