Riders on the Storm by The Doors

Happy belated Mother's Day to all the moms. Kelly was able to sleep in. We attended the Mass of Thanksgiving for Deacon Mark Tomecko, where Patrick was asked by Deacon Mark to serve the mass. She wanted to do a family bike ride. We wrapped up the day with ice cream from Skoops.

The Indiana University of Pennsylvania Softball team played a cancer awareness game 2 weeks ago. The team split a doubleheader. Our friend Liz Kasper played in honor of Lexi. We were not able to attend the game, but Nana went in our place. That same weekend Nicholas celebrated his First Communion. It was a blessing to have Uncle Stan come in to give Nicholas his First Communion.

Patrick wrapped up his track season with Medina Christian Academy. Kelly was able to attend a few of his meets, I could not see him race in any of them. Even when we could not go, someone was always there to cheer him on. He is closing in on the end of his first year there. He has adjusted well. The final quarter was a bit rough, I'm sure Lexi and I being gone did not help. Patrick is getting excited for his birthday this week.

Baseball and softball season started when we returned home. Nicholas had his first game last week, which his team won. Lexi's team has been practicing with the first game next week. She continues to show her toughness playing through practice on a sore knee. We keep trying to get her to rest it at home, but she is stubborn and won't.

Lexi has also been having fun playing with the neighbor's new puppy. I think she might be missing some of the dogs from the Ronald McDonald House.

On Friday she had a follow-up CT scan at Akron Children's. We received confirmation the tumor continues to grow. The tumor continues to push on nerves causing more arm pain. They switched up her pain meds to try to give her some relief.

The doctors at Akron Children's and Seattle Children's are discussing if it is worthwhile to return for another round of the CAR T Cell therapy. With that we wait for news of what we will do next.
