Our hearts go out to all who knew Ada Deer.

We both received the 'Women of Color' UWS award together one year. She said something which guides my activism. 'You can't change an organization from the outside. You need to join to change it from the inside; make it something you'll be proud of.'

Thank you for all you have done to inspire women to run for office and take on challenges that many thought were insurmountable. Praying for peace, comfort and healing.

Dear Ada thank you so much for all the work you have done to make life better in Wisconsin. You have inspired so many to keep working toward equality and Justice for all. Peace to you.

Blessings and prayers to you Ada. You are an inspiration to me. Thank for your accomplishments for your people. You, all along with other indigenous people have made me more aware of the beautiful people you are and you have contributed to society.

Dear Ada, my thoughts roll back to 1954 when I was introduced to you during the Fall semester move in to Barnard Hall at UW. They roll forward remembering all the contributions you have made creating a more civil society. society.
