I have been at CaringBridge for 14 of its 20 years of existence, and what you have made possible this year is unlike anything I have ever seen.
You inspired How We Heal, a project where CaringBridge users across the country shared what healing can look like. Since late September, words of wisdom from 20 families who have been through really tough things have already reached more than 2 million people.
Because of people like you who share love, hope and compassion through CaringBridge, more families than ever before are coming to know the power of CaringBridge.
So with you in mind, our holiday appeal, the most important time of year for a nonprofit, is being called the “Season of Giving and Healing.”
The appeal launches today, Giving Tuesday, and continues through Dec. 31, 2017.
And thanks to the generosity of the CaringBridge Board of Directors, donations to CaringBridge made between today and Friday, Dec. 1, are being doubled, up to $100,000, by the CaringBridge Board of Directors. It is the biggest matching gift in CaringBridge history!
This means your gift becomes twice as meaningful in making CaringBridge is available to every family who needs it. So if you are in a position to make a donation, I hope you will.
If you have a minute, I would love for you to meet one of the families who are sharing their stories of giving and healing. As a mom of a son myself, I just want to hug Amy and Kevin Amundson. I think you will feel this way, too.
Thank you so much for everything you do to support families like the Amundsons, and everyone who turns to CaringBridge in a time of need.
Kelly Espy is a senior development specialist at CaringBridge. She first joined the team as a volunteer, in 2003, to honor her sister, Amy, who was a CaringBridge user.
