I love the picture's. Everytime i see Kate I think she is Kay's age, Think it's because Kay is so tiny. She was always the smallest in the class. Kate looks awesome, she is a very beautiful girl. We missed you guys last weekend -- they even had us signed up for the same building across from each other :( It wasn't the same without you. But it was another great Hozhoni weekend. The weather wasn't nearly as warm as the past 2 years though -- cold. No swimming, but they did go on the canoes and paddle boats. I wasn't sure if this would be our last year or not. But as usually seems to happen, when we leave Hozhoni, we said that we want to go back next year :) It is such a nice weekend to have at the end of the summer. Hope you all have a great school year. Hi Grace -- nice to see your family yesterday. I'm glad we made the trip up to get a few extra hugs from Colin until next week when we pick the kids up. I have to say this is my favorite time of the year. The kids all get to see each other at Camp One Step, and then Hozhoni in September. And now the overnight weekend coming up. How was your dance recital? I'm sure you did great. Have you ever had drop foot? Meghan is having a lot of trouble with that and it is affecting her dancing. She finally got a 3rd place in one dance at a competition on Sat. As you know slowly but surely you get back to your old self...

Oh, I mean't to tell you that we were at Niagra Falls about the same time you were, July 2005. Meghan is going to two competitions downtown Milwaukee on July 15th and Aug. 12th. Is this close to your home?

I hope you are all doing well. We are great! Lindsay went to clinic today for her 4 month off treatment check-up and her counts were awesome!!! AND...... She IS going to the One-Step Camp. I recently lost someone very close to me to Neuroblastoma, another wicked form of cancer. He was 5 years old when he earned his angel wings. Hi! You have been busy, seems our households have much in common on that topic:)
I thought maybe we should have a contest to see who has had more snow dumped on them for the month of March....lol I know after talking to the Brestels they had 10 plus last night and it was not over. We came home to 21 inches, so you will have to let us know how much you have had.

Gee Whiz, Katey!!!! You are one busy girl! Sorry you had all those difficulties with the car and furnace and everything...but sounds like you weathered it all right and are doing well! Checkups are great when you feel good, huh?! :) We are enjoying those, too...except when Alex has to get a CT. The drink stuff is icky and the IV contrast makes him feel really hot all over...not a fun time, but we're glad when they come back and say "CLEAR" again!!! I know you guys feel the same way!!

Thanks for keeping up with Alex's site! We have a definite plan for Wisconsin this year...last week in June. Maybe that Sunday (the 25th) we could meet and have lunch (maybe a late lunch) before we head up to Rhinelander! How far are you from Madison? We'll go straight up the middle of Wisc, on I-39.

Glad to hear all these great pieces of news from you! Hope you can skate more and maybe we'll watch you on TV someday!!!

How's it going in Wisconsin? What a CHEESY state!!! LOL! Just kidding. I have been cracking way too many jokes in Kyle's guestbook and I think they want to take me out and throw me in the lake! :) Hey, do you want to hear one, too? How do you fix a broken tomato? WITH TOMATO PASTE!!! ha ha ha ha!!!!

Well, anyway, we aren't getting up to Wisconsin with the price of gas this fall, plus my parents rented out the place until Christmas to someone on a long term business trip. Sooooooo it will probably be next summer before we get up there again. If you come south, you let us know, ok? We live near Bloomington, IL.
Glad to see your MRI came out well and your picture from Niagara! AWESOME! Amazing to see the things God does, from the tiniest cells to the hugest waterfalls and natural wonders. God Reigns Supreme!!!! (That is also meant to have a double meaning. If you watch Food Network like we do, you'll recognize a phrase from Iron Chef.)
Well, gotta go and get Jeff away from watching the Houston/St Louis game. Yeah, right. That'll happen right about the time the Niagara River dries up!!! :)

I hope all is well with you guys. I LOVE the Niagra Falls picture. I hear it is absolultely amazing.. We will have to get there some day. We wanted to go to hozhoni (sp?) weekend, but Lindsay was in a wedding on the 9th... Maybe next year we will have to make the trip just to meet all our wonderful online friends! I told Lindsay she also should try the "one step" camp.. She was a little leary about going for a week without us. Maybe next year too! :0)

I didn't know you all had to go through an MRI. Katey is a troper to sit in that machine for 40 minutes. Thank goodness the news was good and now the fear can be put to rest. Thanks for coming by Alex's site so faithfully! Sorry we aren't out more often. We will keep Kate in prayer for her MRI...hopefully these headaches are just fatigue related as she adjusts to the school schedule and so on. Glad to hear of the Niagara trip! We went there when I was 10 or 11 and it was really neat! I'm so jealous you got to go on the Maid of the Mist ride, Kate!! I didn't get to do that. We did go into the Cave behind the falls, though. That was cool, but I remember I had to use the bathroom SO BAD and the waterfall rushing overhead (deafening) didn't help! We didn't stay as long as anyone wanted because I had to go find the bathrooms!! ha!!!
Well, on that fun note, have a great weekend and we'll be back soon, ok? More on if we get to Wisconsin later. It's not looking good. We had one brother getting married and now there are two!!! Both this fall. I do get two sisters out of the deal, though, so that's good!!! :)

Hi Kate, So glad to see that you are doing so well and had a great time at camp. Cameron went to camp recently too. He had lots of fun - his favorite thing was swimming everyday!
I'm sorry to hear about that horrible headache you had... I really feel bad because Cam has had lots of those and they are no fun at all. I wish for no more headaches, no cancer, no diabetes, no illnesses of any kind... you don't think I'm asking for too much do you? :-)
