Stephanie, you have got to be the most inspiring person I know. You handle your situation in a way that leaves me in tears. You really mean a lot to me and I loved seeing God's light shine through you this summer. It brought joy to my heart. I love you and you will be in my prayers, most definitely.

I always remember your smile! You have a such sweet and infectious happiness about you that I love. May I say, you are just like your beautiful mother, whom I have always adored. You are truly an inspiration to all of us. The strength and courage that you have shown dealing with your illness is something that I admire.

I will keep you in my prayers, even though I don't pray much. But I will do this just for our sweet Stephanie. Your friend Zooey

PS. I am still designing a lot of new furniture for many companies, and of course OFS is always my favorite. I will think of you often and pray for you often to help you to get through these next few weeks.

Hi Steph! We got to cebebrate our birthdays on the same day! Gary threw a suprise party for me last night...40 years old..aaahhhhh! Im so glad you got to celebrate surrounded by your family...what a blessing. Gary's theme for my party was "affirmations", so I was on a high all evening! You are amazing at being affirming (of God and man), and I want you to know how blessed I feel every time I read one of your entries! Someday you will know how many lives you have touched unknowingly and I think it will blow your mind! Happy belated birthday, girl!!!! Lots of love, Alisa

You ARE a rainbow to all that know you. Thank you for everything you do. With all that you have going on in your life, it would be very easy for you to sit back and just - well, "sit back". But you have never taken that road! You are a joy to all around you. You give us a sense of God's true blessings and unconditional love. Thanks for sharing it with me and my family. Blessings to you always my friend.

Stephanie,
It was nice to read your entry. I'm glad to hear this stent is doing better even though you are lacking energy. Nikki's gallbladder removal went well June 30th and she seems to be in less pain now. What a huge blessing that is for her and us. I forgot what it was like to have her smile when she got up in the morning, but her smile has returned. They found 3 impacted gallstones in her cystic duct, so her pain was very real every time she ate.
Reading your entry about Zach entering his senior year is very close to us as Nikki is entering her freshman year. She will be trying out for the volleyball team August 12th!
I will keep praying for you and remind my husband that our insurance situation could be worse; you have given me a better perspective of where we stand...sorry to hear how high your payments are right now. Our high payments at least include our whole family. God will provide!

Happy Birthday!! (Mine is next week too) :)

I am so sorry for your loss, it is very hard to find words because I know what you are feeling! But Tucker is so lucky to be part of the wonderful Crowe family.
So...I will answer your question about what made me smile today! I took my Abby to Opry Mills today for some shopping, Wed is her 4th bday so we are celebrating all week (you understand!). She always wants to ride that train that goes around the mall and most days I say "we don't have time" or some other lame excuse! Silly me, huh? So, you guessed it, today without her even asking first, I said "would you like to ride the train today?" You would have thought I gave her a room full of new baby dolls and strollers! (I would say a million dollars, but that does not compare to new baby dolls with this girl). That precious look of excitement has made me smile ALL day, I'm sure it will for many years to come too! Nothing makes a mom smile like seeing a huge smile on their babies face!
Love and miss you tons!!

Good Morning Stephenie,
I expect that you do not remember me, but I remember you. Life as you have learned, rarely gives us what we want. But if you are patient and watchful, life always gives us what we need! That is the blessing! I hope this note finds you well, and you continue in journey with less pain or discomfort each day! Peace be upon you and upon all those you hold dear! George Lee Dyson, Sr.

Stephanie - Oh I how feel all that you have written in this post. We have lost 2 "four legged members of our family" and we were devastated. Just reading your post brought that feeling in the pit of my stomach. We now have three dogs, 2 outside, and our baby inside. I know that one day we will lose them. It took me quite awhile to open up my heart for another dog - but when I did - we went overboard. :) Our dogs are a daily reminder of that unconditional love that God would want us all to exhibit. Yes, we may open ourselves up for heartache when we lose them - but in the time we have them - they are a little peace of heaven on earth. As I sit here - with my Fritz, our 3 year old Brussels Griffon curled up beside me - I will give him an extra kiss on the cheek (he loves that!) I pray your pain will ease and I KNOW Tucker will make a place in your heart - not as a replacement - but his own special place. I also pray for your continued health. Love you - Jenise

Hey Stephanie,
Just got home from prayer meeting at CRBC, and was thinking of you, and wondering about you. When I read your last post, and about what you have been through for the last few weeks, my heart just hurt for you. I will be praying for you seriously, and every time the Lord brings you to mind. Pray that by now you have some comfort, and peace about this new stent, and that it will work better than the last one. I love you and miss you and your hugs and smiles. May God Bless You!!

Hey Beautiful Girl--
Reading your post is like going to church, but even better. You remind me that God, without fail or complaint, gets down in the mucky trenches with us when that's where we are. He shuffles through the desert with us when that's where we are. He flies with us on "wings of eagles" when that's where we are. He is the source of all that is good in this weary old world. Thank you for reminding me, Stephanie. You are such a blessing. I think of you so often, and keep you in my prayers. What a joy you are to so many of us--even when I just catch a glimpse of you at a distance, it brings me much joy and thankfulness. I love you still!

UPDATE
Hi ALL....Stephanie had the stent surgery. She has been sick with a "flu" bug for the past two weeks. The day after her surgery, Bennie had emergency surgery. They have both been home and resting. Zac has had the Flu bug as well.
They have company coming today. Josh, Allisha and their new baby Ruby are coming for the week. This is Bennie's new Grand Baby Girl. She is beautiful and will lift their spirits.
Please pray that they will all be well for this week. Josh, Allisha and Ruby will leave for Japan in May and be gone for 4 years. This will be the last time they will see her for 4 years. Stephanie has worked much harder than she has the strenght to prepare for this week. She wants this to be perfect for everyone.
Stephanie continues to struggle each day with things we could not think about enduring. She is my special Angel. Please continue to Pray for her strength.
She sends her love.

It is New Year's Eve and I thank God that you have been able to have this wonderful year without another large surgery. I know that the small surgeries this year have been difficult but you make it seem so easy to everyone that sees you. I know they have not been easy. You inspire and encourage so many people to be the best they can be.
Zachary is so lucky to have a wonderful Mother like you. You are a role model for all of his friends as well.
I am a very lucky Mother to have you as my daughter. Thank you God for this special gift you gave me.
The Thanksgiving dinner was the best I have ever eaten. Since I have asked to do it next year, I have large shoes to fill.
Happy New Year to everyone. I am going to focus on all the blessings that God has given us and not the things I have no control over.I think God is tryng to get our attention and wake up this world. Let's all love one another more and be the best friend we can be. Stephanie is a great example for us all.
I love you my sweet Angel.

Chicklet, you can make a 300 lb. linebacker look weak. Zach is right, you can absolutely do it and I know that you are doing a fabulous job as I write this. I truly believe it will be a great experience for them and for you. God put you there and he will see you through it. Thank you for being such an inspiration and for reminding all of us that faith in God will comfort us in all situations. I know I don't write to you enough but you and your wonderful family are always in my prayers. Lylas, Ginger

Hi Everyone. Stephanie is back home an resting. My Angel continues to amaze me with her mighty strength. It is so clear that all of her Dr's an Nurse's adore and admire her.
She always smiles and makes everyone feel comfortable. She had a visit from one of her favorite Dr's after the procedure, they had a good talk.
Please continue to Pray for her and the upcoming surgery. She is not looking forward to this but it is necessary.
I know that you all see her smiles and the "I am fine" but her day's are a challenge. Please pray for her, Bennie an Zachary.

hey girl--good to hear from you.. I have been helping my Daddy with an infection of MRSA. I was thinking that is what you have --the wound that would not heal.. Bless your heart.. Daddy is taking ZYVOX--it is helping him totally! He took FLAGYL by IV--cleared up his yeast in his mouth. He was not able to eat.. now he can.. He also had a great rinse--something like nystotin(?) worked great! He is doing better now.. He had a high fever--in the hospital a week. Watch your fever.. :) I am confident that Dr. Church will help you too.. Sounds like you are finally at the right place. God is watching over you little one.I think it is great that they asked you to speak. You can help them more than fellow doctors--you have lived it! I know you will be a Blessing to them--that is great! I had a great time when I talked to senators about Lupus..It helps you deal with it better knowing that you are trying to help others. Keep an eye on that MRSA infection and take care.. yes--the antibiotics will make you feel yucky.. please take care. They did not give Daddy that one--just ZYVOX--it is actually one step higher than IV Vanocymin..
I love ya

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Zach's friend. Losing them so young is so hard to understand. My heart is with you all. I so understand your broken heart for your "baby". That never changes, I've learned. I was once told that when you become a mother - a little piece of your heart goes with that child forever and gets broken each time your child hurts. This is so true. However, we both know, in the end, the joy is overwhelming more plentiful. Hope you are feeling well - Love ya!

Dear Stephanie,
Please forgive me for not contacting you for so long. Between health problems, new treatments, traveling, and so many other day-to-day things that keep one busy, I have not been able to sit at the computer and read through all my emails. I just sat down and read all of the entries I have missed. I am so sorry you are going through so much. I will be praying about all that is going on in your life right now, esp. involving these medical appointments. As I read your posts, I was just amazed at your level of faith and contentment in the midst of so much difficulty. I work on that daily, but have so much farther to go. Your willingness to share not only what you are going through, but your thoughts and feelings through it all provide such an example and encouragement to me (and so many others). Once, when I was feeling pretty useless and unable to be a help to others because of being bedridden so much, a friend told me, "God's ability to use you for good isn't based on what you can do. You can be such a help and encouragement to others just by who you are." I was reminded of that while reading your journal. Praying much!

Hey Susta,
My morning reading included this verse from Psalms, so I thought I would share. "The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." Psalms 9:9-10
Praying for God to give you strength and wisdom. I believe he placed Dr. Church in your life for a reason, and that we can trust him to make decisions in your best interest. I love you and will continue to lift you up to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine!

Hey, Sweet Stephanie!

Just finished reading your last 2 posts, and just want to encourage you to keep on enjoying God's gifts to you. Love of family and friends, especially. I was amazed to see you at the parade, was so proud of you.

Even though you have had some news that was not welcome, I know that God has a plan for you, and this "fun summer" is just part of it. We are praying for a miracle and God is in the business....."He is at His best, when things are at their worst"...so sit back and watch to see what He does now.

We will keep the prayers going up, too.

Love You, (and missed you at church yesterday)

Oh Stephanie, You know I loved to see the butterfly picture( and of course the other pictures with you and Benny then you and your precious gift Zach) becuz you and I both LOVE them! but more important then that, is your last note in your journal. Your words are incredible and the Journey God has put you on has helped so many of us realize just how important the little things in life really are. He breathes in us our breath, and He gives us the strenght to notice those things that He has truly blessed us with. All of us go thru those storms, BUT with His amazing strength, He guides us and helps us in our hard times no matter how big or small they may seem. HE IS THERE. HE promises us He will never ever leave us.. He is carrying us with each new day. God never sleeps. He knows. Don't you ever forget just how much~~you are so loved~~

Stephanie- I read your blog this morning. My heart goes out to you. I wish I could do something for you. The only words I have to say is God is with you. He will give you strength to get through this trial. Press on! I want to share this scripture with you that I love: And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. You are a light for God that never goes out. Your strength, mercy, and love show people that there is a God. Our lives are suppose to show people of this wicked world that God is real and he lives in us. You truely do that! Take Care. Love you, Tammi

Hi Stephanie, I found this today just for you and others who need to be reminded of how loving the God of all creation is. If you read and reread Psalm 91, you will discover that in Him we have a permanent abode and residence, and that all of the comfort, security, and affection which the human heart craves is found in Him.
~~"He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."~~ Psalm 91:1. He is carrying you in His great big arms...tucked very closely. Hold on>>With love and prayers, Karen

Stephanie,
You have always had the most wonderful attitude which is such a gift to all of us. Remember God is the great physician and nothing is to big for Him to handle. You are a testimony for Him. Remember the little song, "He's still working on me, to make me what I ought to be, it took Him just a week to make the moon and the stars......." Well, He is still working on you and He loves you so much. Keep the faith!

So true . . so true.
Couldn't have summed it up better.
You've given us a wonderful example of how to live day by day trusting in the care & wisdom of the Lord, knowing whole-heatedly that He is working this entire experience toward a goal that will bring him ultimate glory. We all look forward to the day when all the answers will be laid out before us & can finally see the magnificent result of your endurance & faithful praise. The line of souls enriched & changed by your abiity to run this race with such internal joy & never letting go of the Lord's hand will be a site to behold. Until then, I pray amazing strength on you & your family, for your closeness to the Lord to beome even more powerful as the days go by. "He's especially fond of you."

More people in this wicked world need to be more like you. Keep standing up on the inside for God. When things seem to get tough, always remember that God is with. Of course, you know that! Update
I just talked to Stephanie and she has seen her first round of Dr's. She really likes them and was incouraged by the collective ideas that they have for her surgery. The Dr's are very informative and there is one that specializes in FAP. This is amazing since FAP is a very rare. She and Bennie are very tired and will be up early tommorrow to see the rest of the Dr's and them fly home tomorrow night. She has no access to a computer up there.
Please know that your messages mean so very much to her. They are a bright spot in her day. Please continue to pray as she has some big decisions to make. She feels very optimistic.

Great to see your post & so thankful that (as of right now) you only have to focus on maintaining the physical & mental status quo. That alone could be overwhelming if not for the wonderful power of strength & endurance that the Lord so graciously gives to us. A full tank each morning if we just pull up to the source! You have always seen the good side of everything. I can see you "Dancing in the rain". I want to do this with you. We have both always loved butterflies and rainbows... now we have to share dancing in the rain. Lets pray for a nice soft steady rain when we do this together.
I love you so much.

Hi, Stephanie, I hope it's as beautiful a weekend as we've been promised and that you will get out and enjoy it! I am reading a book about "Godwinks," those little coincidences that prove that God answers our prayers. It jarred me into thinking how many good things happen each day, but I'm too busy to notice. One of those is hearing from you and keeping in touch with your joys and your battles. You're always in my prayers.

great to hear from you.. You are so right--we have a choice--give up or give in.. I have chosen to give into my disease and just deal with the things it throws my way. You are a fighter also--way to go!! You are a doll! You have favor with the Lord. I feel that anyway.. You touch so many lives. I know He must be proud.. Take things one day at a time.. that is all we can do.. They had lupus on ER last night--that was great. Way to get the word out. I will have to send them a thank you.. :)

sorry you had problems with a doc... Hang in there with the dentiest. Maybe you should do that dentistry where they knock out or at least mildly sedate you... I hate dentistry work too, must be an FAP thing... ha ha

Muscle relaxers.... hummmmm...Great suggestion, Kendra!! I will keep that in mind the next time I go to the dentist. I am cracking up at your analogy of "opening your mouth as wide as a hippo" because that's exactly what I had to do yesterday afternoon for over an hour to get some teeth fixed. Susta-gur, I hope that made you smile. I pray that you enjoyed the sunshine today and focused on the mighty love that our heavenly Father has for you. Thanks again for your post. Talk with you soon...

Hey Steph! I am always encouraged by your posts. I agree with you about the dentist! I just went for the first time in 10+ years! Can you believe that? I had a tooth that broke and they fixed it...minus a root canal, but the doc was fabulous, and they took out those ugly old silver fillings and my teeth are all filled in with white. Very pretty, even if I have to open up my mouth as wide as a hippo for you to see. :-) So hang in there! I found that taking a muscle relaxer before going does wonders. LOL

Ooh, I would NEVER laugh at your fear of the dentist, susta-gur! I have my own somewhat irrational fears from my early childhood, and it's bad when I have to go. Sweaty palms, elevated heart rate, etc... I will pray for calm when you are in the dentist chair. I am happy to see your post. I love you and thank you for challenging us all to make it a good week this week. I for one plan to take your advice to heart. Yeah, for vacation time!!!
Love you bunches!

My Dear Sweet Stephanie,
My Good is, God, You, our family and our wonderful friends. The butterfly I saw today. Your sweet voice this morning. The memory of the first time I felt you move and the first time I held you in my arms and kissed your sweet little feet. Your first steps and first words. and the day Zachary was born.(There are too many things in between to mention)
I am so thankful for Zachary. He is a bright ray of sunshine in our life. God sends me a little glimps of Dusty just at the time I need it most. They are so connected.
I am Praying tonight that you find the right answers to your questions. My Daddy, (your PapPaw) always said to follow your heart. God will guide you. When I listened to my heart, it was always right. God will hold you and comfort you as you make the right choices. Look deep inside and trust God to give you the answer.
I love you so very much, you are my ray of sunshine.

Good Morning Stephanie, My good today is your encouraging words right off the bat, and I guess I love the 5 senses God gives us. I can't imagine not being able to not see the beautifulness of nature, His butterflies, His fresh green grass, new flowering buds and seeing a friend. Smelling the freshness of Springtime, hearing the birds and people talking kind words, oh and tasting some yummy foods like chococlate chip cookies right out of the oven. Touch, the touch of a hug. You are a gift girl and ~ you are so loved~

LOL! I just love it!
MY good, is weightless/freedom I feel every time I think that God NEVER leaves me. Never! The only times I can't clearly hear His voice is when I've allowed pain of one type or another or self-inflicted guilt to speak to me louder than it should, drowning out that wonderful familiar, voice. The one that never forces His way into our thoughts & lives but is constantly, patiently sharing his wonderful love for us & plans He has for us. It's up to us to ask for His power to help keep the other voices from getting out of hand.
I know I'm rambling - but my "good" is just so darn . . .
GOOD!
Can I get a witness?

Oh, thank you so much for sending me the link to your web page. I have been thinking about you often since we last talked, but lost your number so haven't been able to call. I am so sorry to hear you have been going through so much! Reading through some of your posts I realized a lot more of what you deal with than what I got from our brief conversation. You probably already know this much better than I, but it is always good for me to be reminded that God doesn't always use us by what we can DO (which is very little sometimes when you're dealing with health problems) but also, and many times more often, through who we ARE. You are such an encouragement to me because of who you are. My husband and I will be praying for you. By the way, did you ever get to ask about the Levsin for the intestinal spasms?

Hey Susta-Gur,
Funny story: Little kindergarten boy walks up to me at the end of class and says,"Coach, it's raining in the gym". Of course, I immediately look up to see if maybe there is a leak in the roof... I see nothing. I say, "Ethan, why do you think it's raining in the gym?"
His reply? "Because my hair is wet!" He had been sweating so hard from all the activities we had done that he was sweating in his head. Is that not hysterical? He was so serious!
Hope that brought a little smile to you today. Thanks for the post; it was great to be reminded to find the joy in each day, whether it's something big or small. I love you so much. We continue to lift you up in prayer to our God, who is the comforter and healer.

What time is the dr. appt. tomorrow so we can pray for you specifically at that time? Know that we love you and are asking God for strength and wisdom and for a solution to all this. I love you so much...

Hey Stephanie,
Just read your post, I just had to let you know how much you are loved and prayed for. Extra prayer will be going up now, and will carry you through this difficult time. You are a constant on our SS prayer list, so you are lifted up regularly.
"May today there be peace within you. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. I believe friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly" Amen

We are lifting you on the wings of prayer today

Love You

Ms. Stephanie-just to read your words and see you surround yourself with God, it fills my heart. I pray for you as a mother as I'm sure it must be difficult to have Zach see your constant challenges; I pray for Julia as well, as a mother I know it would pain me so much to see my child go through this; and I pray for you as the person you are-sweet, perservering, God-fearing, and that your pain will be comforted. We don't want you to continue to be "jacked-up"!! Continue to be a Warrior!

I just want you to know that you and your boys are constants in my prayers. But even more, your name is lifted up so often that even now as we take prayer requests before we exercise, if I or Debbie don't mention your name, my five year old daughter will! How marvelous that God is using your life down into the details of even a little girl's heart. She is learning by your life the importance of holding one another up in prayer, and giving one another over to the only ONE who can do anything about it. Thank you for loving Him so loudly, and so well.

You continue to amaze so many people with your strength and inner beauty. You put most all of us to shame! God does continue to take care of you; he knows how special you are! hey girl--sounds like you have your plate full today.. that is for certain.. I know how hard it is to let go and let God.. I have to do it often and I know that you did also. It is our faith that keeps us close to His side. :) I take a R arthritis medicine for my bone and joint pain. It is new--called Arava. I have really done well on it--it really helps. I hope that if it is RA--I hope a medicine will work for your pain. I know how it hurts.. The medicine does help. I know you would like to do without adding another one. :) You are in my prayers daily. Please put all of this in the hands of the Lord--His hands are big and they are open..

Oh Susta-Gur...
I know how hard that post was for you, but I am so very proud of you for sharing it! We who know and love you are not fooled by the smile you put on~we know that it is for our benefit and that inside you are hurting. Please don't ever thiink that you HAVE to do this for us... we are your sisters, your friends, and we want and NEED to be here for you on the good days and the bad. Our shoulders are strong enough to bear your burdens on those extremely hard days. We are told to "bear one another's burdens" and we want to do that for you! You will be an encouragement to us whether you are smiling or crying. It's okay to cry and not feel strong. No one will ever for a moment doubt your strength or faith just b/c there are moments when you just feel too tired to muster the smile. My prayer for you is that you will release that guilt and allow us to be there for you. Allow us to bear your burden. We love you so much and pray for healing and strength. God can use your tears just as He uses your smiles, so whatever the emotion of the day, let it come and don't feel guilt or sadness over it. Sleep well tonight, my friend.

That just means MORE and MORE prayers go to Him for YOU....God does have it and now we do too (well, a little piece of it anyway)..keep going Steph....WE LOVE YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!! Hope to SEE you soon....

Stephanie, I can't imagine how difficult it must be to let us see the "real" window to what is going on in your heart inside. To let us see how and what you've been feeling for many years. This has been a long journey but as your mom said in her beautiful words, God has a plan but it is in His time. We want things to happen NOW and not have to wait. God ALWAYS knows what He is doing, it's up to us to continue to trust, obey and watch for those miracles. They are there, even through our closet friends ... ~you are so loved~

sweet thing, I pray for you everyday, and even this morning told the Lord that I really didn't know what to pray for you, but just trust that He knows. while i only imagine that it is hard to open up, expose yourself, it really is how it's supposed to be. i am so sorry that you are having to go through this, but it really is being used by God to bring so many to Himself. so, please don't be discouraged, and know that fervant prayer is being lifted up on your behalf. we all love you

Please know that you are inspiration to me--it is hard to put into words--but by seeing how it has worn you down--the pain and trying to help others feel good about it.. it all makes me realize that acting the same way you do is just going to catch up with me too --eventually. I am going to make you a promise--seeing your suffering through the days--I am going to start taking better care of myself and saying no more often. I fight my lupus this way--act like it is all ok and do not tell others when I am scared to pieces. I talk to my Mom.. you are Blessed to have yours also. Mothers are angels from God.. Please know that it is ok to be afraid and to be sick of all of it. I find myself getting jealous of others that have problems that can be fixed.. they get them fixed and move on.. we know that ours is a lifetime thing.. It does get really old. It is a huge array of emotions. Please know the Lord gave us these feelings in our heart and He is there each step to help us deal with them and try to make some sense of them.. take care little one--know that I am praying for you my friend.
I love ya

I'm sorry that some people can be so incentive - just because you are so beautiful - to think that you are not well. Your beautiful smile just shows us what a beautiful heart you have. It is okay to have those days that you can say I feel like crap - you don't always have to sugar coat it for us we can take it. If give us all the more reason to pray a little extra harder for you!! We love you!!

Tonight was the most wonderful night. Stephanie and I meet two of God's Angels. We all know that God answers our Prayers. I have been friends with Terry for ten yeras but have never met her dear Mother They have a Prayer group that meets once a month and they have continued to Pray for Stephanie. I have never been able to go because of my work schedule. When I saw Terry this week she asked, as always, about Stephanie and said they had just prayed for her. As you all know, Stephanie has had a very hard week. Terry asked if we could meet her and her Mother so we could all Pray together tonight. We arranged to meet at 5:00. She is a very busy business woman with a thriving business to run and I knew this was taking time from her family. She said it would be a blessing to her and her Mother. It was like God was alone with the four of us in this very small room. The emotion that I felt was so intense watching Stephanie that I thought my heart would explode. I truly klnow that God was with us in that small room tonight. A very dear friend and her sweet Mother prayed with us. I felt a calm that I haven't ever felt before. The anxiety just seemed to leave my body and I felt like God had answered our Prayers. Stephanie will be God's messsenger to carry tonight forward to others. Another dear friend of ours recently looked at Stephanie and said,"you are going to write a book". I realized tonight that she is ready to go forward with this book. Her journey will help so many people that are struggling to find the way to God. Above all... that is always the answer.I have certainly had my times of extreme doubt.. not understanding the why of things, I no longer have that. I know in my heart that my baby will be healed. I can sleep a very peaceful night tonight.
I hope that everyone that reads this will rejoice. God has a plan and it is all in his time.
God is love.

Hi Stephanie! Gary and I had planned to go to the game last night, but instead took advantage of a rare night alone together, and just hung out! Im sorry I missed the opportunity to say "hi" as I dont seem to run in to you very often anymore. I am so thankful for these updates from you...they fill me with so much hope and encouragment and open my eyes even more to God's amazing love and mercy. I love your wedding pictures! What beautiful memories! I know what you mean about having to get away and just be yourselves sometimes without the interferance of the world...those are precious times. I am really struggling right now with letting my sons grow up and begin to make their choices, and to not need me nearly so much. Their whole lives it's been our job as parents to nurture and protect and do for them...it's a hard thing to step back from. Will you pray for me...to have the right words, the wisdom, the strength to pray when I want to just cry? I will be praying for you, too...this mom thing is a hard gig! You and Bennie and Zach are in our prayers all the time...thank you for embracing life and being the "half-full" gal that you are! May God just wrap you up in His goodness today! Lots of love, Alisa

Good morning Susta-Gur!
So good to wake up and see your post; and I LOVED the pics! I got chills on the lastt picture, b/c it brought back memories for me. We also went on the road to Hana and stopped to look at the black sand beach (that is where the picture was taken, right?) Anyway, I pray that you will have peace of mind w/ the decisions you are having to make, and that Dr. Church will intervene with your drs. here if necessary. Maybe you can get out this afternoon and enjoy the sunshine! I love you much and am glad you felt up to posting. I will talk with you later this weekend???

Hey Susta-Gur,
I love you! I hope that the pain is going away and the drs. are able to find out what's going on in that ole' body of yours. I've missed talking to you, maybe we can chat this weekend? Saturday is supposed to be pretty; hopefully you can sit outside for a minute and let the sun warm your face. Just thinking about you and wanted to let you know. Praying for you everyday...

Udate... Yes it is Mother Julia.
Stephanie has been struggling this week with pain & nausea. She has had two CT. trying to determine if it is related to kidney or gallstones.
For her to admit that she is in pain is very unusual. I can hear it in her voice. The first CT did show kidney stones but they are in the top of the kidney and haven't traveled down. Today they were looking for problems in the gallbladder.
Please continue to sign on and give her your love and encouragement. This means so much to her.
Love to you all.
Julia

Hey Susta-Gur,
Awesome pictures! I, too, love Maui. When I'm having a tough day, I just go there in my mind and pretend to lie on the beach listening to the waves. I am glad you are back and hope that the time away was all that you wished it to be. I love you so much...

Stephanie, I hope you realize the MANY people like me who are strengthened and encouraged by this life journey of yours put on paper. We are knit together in an odd sort of way through this journal, and can unite together as we pray together.
I love the scripture you included on this post. I read in a book the phrase, "Do the possible, and let God do the impossible." I think that applies to all of our journeys. God really has it all anyway. Thank you for living your journey out loud.

Stephanie, I am glad you all had a safe trip home. Sounds like it was a dream trip come true. That is wonderful - I look foward to reading all about it and I love the pictures. I will have to see Maui through your eyes - because I don't think I will ever be able to get Marc on a plane for that long. Maybe I can go with you on your next trip... I hope that all goes wells next week with your appointments, as always you are in our prayers. Your Florida Buddy, Donna
