Journal

Thursday, July 24, 2008 9:35 PM CDT

OMG! It has been so long since i've written on Jaeleah's page. Its been about two years. Im so sorry. Well to begin, Jaeleah Hart is in remission. We finished chemo , June 29, 2007. It was such a relief to not have to go to the hospital every week. But we do miss the people who helped save my little angel. Jaeleah will be going to the fifth grade this year. My big baby will have one more year as an elementary student. Im scared already. My lil man has a long way to go but soon he will be going to daycare. He is so spoiled, but very smart. He needs to interact with other kids, but his great-grandmother doesn't think he's quite ready yet. She will miss her big baby. She has been such a great help with watching him while I work, I don't know what I would do without her. I wish my grandmother and great grandmother were still alive to see him.
Jaeleah passed fourth grade last year with A's and B's. We didn't have much planned for her this summer but will do better next summer. She started off the summer by going to Camp Quality (check out the website www.campqualityusa.org) This was her third year attending, she looks forward to this every year. She went fishing, swimming, horseback riding ,etc. But the only thing she has to get better at is calling home to tell us how she is doing. She spent time with her dad and sister. Jaeleah is excited about starting the new school year as a fifth grader. This week Jaeleah has attended camp with Camp Care (this camp is funded by Cancer Services of BR). She enjoys this camp as well because she meets new friends, and joins up with some campers from camp quality. They go bowling, rock climbing, skating , arts and crafts, etc. This is only a day camp were as camp quality she spends the week in Ruston, La. Jaeleah wants to start back doing ballet, jazz and tap this school year. I told her she needs to be a little more active so she can lose some of that extra weight she has. Jaeleah recently went back to St.Jude in May of this year for a CT Scan. It came back saying her bones were still very fragile and she needed to take her Caltrate Vitamins to build them back up. Other than that she is still strong as she was before, same smile and all. ( I guess she gets that from her mom!) Jaeleah loves spending time with her brother, even though he beats her up some time. Well I will try to keep updating Jaeleah's page as often as I can, so u can see how she's doing.
Thank's for checking out her page and feel free to glance at some of the links on the bottom of the page. God Bless!
