Hey There ladies.. My goodness, it has been far far too long since I stopped by and signed the guestbook.. Please know that we have not forgotten about you at all.. Just the last month or so has been so wild around here, sometimes I hardly know if I am coming or going {I am sure you know how that is} I am so glad to hear that Lauren is doing so well, and that the kiddos had such an awesome visit with Santa.. Don't you know that you aren't supposed to scare mom like that?? that is what gives all us parents grey hair!! I am glad to hear that you are feeling better now though, and having lots of fun sliding down the stairs.. Sliding down on your belly is also lots of fun.. but you have to be really careful!! Please tell Hunter that we said that we hope that he had a really awesome brithday, and that he has a great party this weekend.. We are having a party for Boogie's big brother this weekend too. Glad to hear that Lauren continues to do well. Drew is about to enter his last month of all this. YEAH!

Believe it or not, we have been through Kentland. I have relatives who live in Bloomington and Spfld, IL. Sometimes when we go to IL from South Bend, IN we go down 31 to 25(Logansport) and over to IL on 24 right through Kentland. I think it is Watseka we have stopped at before. Have a great move.

Hello,
Deb, I know exactly how you feel about actually missing going to the appts. You get to really make a connection with all of the docs and nurses saving your baby's life. I'm sure Lauren misses them as well. It also becomes part of your so-called "normal" routine and when your done, its almost like you don't know what to do. I too am so grateful for all of Autumn's caretakers and lifesavers, and even as rough as it got sometimes, we still have good memories of that time because of them.

My, the memorial day weekend weather was sure rainy~we did not make it to the festival at Balmoral Race Track, but there is always next year. Thanks for stopping by Autumn's site. Way to go on the last chemo! Hopefully, the effects will soon wear off. That was the same chemo combo Autumn had for her last chemo and it was one the few times she got really sick... on her last chemo. Its amazing how fast they do recover. Although Autumn kept her top layer of hair giving her the effect of all of her hair, the underlying part is growing in fast! Lauren will have it back in no time. I am so happy for you guys that you are done with chemo!

Peyton and her sister, Lindsay, have a black lab named Miranda (after the Miranda Warning - Pey's daddy is a cop, after all). And Miranda is sooo protective of both girls. I came across your site addy in another childs book. My daughter was diagnosed in Oct of 03 at 23 months with stage III/favorable wilms. She had much of the same treatment process as your daughter and had surgery to remove her left kidney and football sized tumor in February. She is about to have her last chemo this week. Logan too has had a Wilms tumor (dx 2/9/04; surgery 2/11/04) and he has experienced many of the same symptoms you have had (weight from 49 lbs to 36 lbs the week of surgery). Debbie, I just wanted to let you know I am thinking about you and your family. Sounds like Lauren is a little trooper. Stay strong, you have all been in my prayers. God Bless you and your family. My family and I will be praying for Lauren often. I've been there too- heart surgery with my (now 24 year old) 3 year old daughter. It is SOOOOO difficult to see our little ones in pain. May God grant you the strength and fortitude to continue each day with a hopeful heart. I really believe that God watches over us all the time.

Oh, Deb, I'm as afraid as you. There aren't enough words to tell you how much Lauren means to me and Leo. We pray every prayer for her. So, here's my standard request to God: Please Lord Jesus, help the surgeons lift the cancer off Lauren's kidneys like a wet bandage slides off a finger.

Dearest Lauren: I'm praying for you today "little one" and every day. You are closer to God than any of us for it is the little ones that are nearest to Him and He is ever so faithful.
Robert, Deb and Boys: I pray you feel His hands, see His face and hear His voice .. so you will know comfort and peace and have calming confidence that He is in control and He is a Gracious, Loving Father. We are His little children and He promises to swoop us up from the battlefields of this world and craddle us in His kind compassion. It is not His desire that any of us hurt; it is only His desire that we turn to Him and allow ourselves to be loved as only He can love! Fall at His feet and He will pick you up and hold all of you so tight!!
