Hi Kelsey,
What a delight to check in on your Mom's blog page and find your inspirational story. I am a CML patient who gained so much from cheering her on and reading your Mom's blog.
Thanks for sharing your story.
All the best to you and your family.
Love and peace from a fellow turtle,
Christine

Dear Ken and Children,
This is a message from Mendy's 'birthday sis'. Throughout her CML journey what Mendy wanted most was happiness for her family.......I am sure she is looking down and smiling about the new found love and companionship for you all. Mendy's spirit will live on with this new family.

I stumbled on to your page tonight doing my usual research of CML. I was dx last July and am contemplating a transplant. I read through most of the transcripts that were posted and felt the joy, pain and sorrow of your journey. I send to you a pray from my heart for your family's loss. What a beautiful Angel heaven has gained. I too will follow the Turtle ... what an inspiration!

Looking forward to your next update. Until then, may God continue to keep you wrapped in the warmth of his arms!

Thank you so much for all the wonderful news about what memorials have been completed for Mendy. I think it's wonderful that they are living ones -- continuous as constant reminders of her life. If you get a chance (!) please post a picture of the garden, turtle and bench. I'd really love to see that.

Best of everything to you and the kids.

Dear Ken.....I know that Mendy wants nothing more than she wants you and her kids to have a great life. It has got to be hard to get past sadness, to have the fun......you honor her when you do that, and like you said, she will be there to join you. Every happy moment for your children, every smile on their face.....you will see Mendy's presence in their lives. Bless all of you.

What you have said is very true! I have talked to Paul many times and asked him to help me... with my sadness, raising the children alone, etc. I have also relied on God to help me solve problems that I couldn't handle alone. The journey through grief has taken a lot of work, but it has been worth it... for the lessons I have learned have changed me forever. Bless you.
