Hi Wes,

It must be frustrating hitting a dead end every time your hopes are up for a possible solution to the physical problems. You just want to grab people by the collar and try and shake some sense into their feeble little brains!

You have one thing on your side that NO one will ever be able to deny you--Jesus! Continue to hold on to Jesus and believe that his plans for you are perfect. Doesn't mean that they are easy to understand (from a human perspective), but he does have plans for each of us that are perfect and without flaw. When the 'system' fails you, Jesus will be there. When you don't understand why the red tape is so difficult, Jesus will be there. When the body doesn't work quite the same today, Jesus will be there.

Keep lookin' up and know that you are loved by many thoughout this world and many not of this world!

In Christian love,
Mr. Wayne

Wesley, I have kept up with you for a long time. I am Deanna's Aunt Kay. We miss her so much. Her Mom and Mimi are real troupers. We laugh about things that Deanna used to do. She was one of a kind. She loved you and cared so much about your well-being. We all have to believe that she is watching over all of us. God Bless you, Wesley.

Hi Wes, I am a long time friend of your Aunt Debra, and I feel like I know you after hearing so much about you. You have surly been fighting the good fight for a long time. I found this in the Bible, and fits you from what I have read. "Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks always in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1Thessaloniass 5:16-18. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hi Wes:

I am a friend of your Aunt Deborah's and want you to know I am thinking about you and praying that all things will work out and that you will soon be better.

Keep up the fight and you will win, remember Babe Ruth had more strike outs than anyone in order to get all the home runs that he did he had to strike out that many times but in the end he was the home run king.

So don't worry about striking out you will hit a home run really soon. You have many people thinking and praying for you. Hang in there.

Love and prayers Janice

im not sure if you will see this in time but im doing a project in my theatre class. one of the girls in our school got cancer last year. she was also one of my close friends so it makes it harder. but your story is the one im choosing to use. we have to study a person learn all about their cancer and know as much about them as possible, then we have to go back in and i just wanted to make sure that it was okay with you.

Hi Wes,

I had your Caring Bridge web site a couple of years back and then lost it somehow. Anyway, I found it again.

It's refreshing to read of a young man so full of God and willing to proclaim it for all to read, and see! Many teens have so much to do in their lives and they sometimes have difficulty finding time for God. It looks like you have God in your life and if you have time for other stuff, then so be it. You are truly an inspiration to family and friends.

We don't usually understand the 'whys' of life. Especially when it seems many are doing well. We find it difficult to accept that life isn't always fair. However, when we can serve God fully and trust his plans, it makes living a lot easier. I think you are one of the unique individuals who does trust God fully and are willing to trust God's direction for your life.

Thanks for the incredible blessings you give through living a life full of positive attributes, determination, and willingness to allow God full control!

In Christian love,
Mr. Wayne

I met your mother at the cancer center. You entered a message in my child's guestbook. (Parker) Your mother is such a special person. I hope she is doing better this week. I am glad you are out of the hospital. Your parents were really worried about you. Your mother said you were doing better. I am sorry that you have to endure more than you already have. I keep saying there was a reason Parker had to go through what he did, and I know he is here for a purpose. It is still hard though and I know it is the same for your parents. They have a strong faith in the Lord and it looks like you have the same. He will always get you through it.

Hey Wes!
I am glad to see that you were able to update your caringbridge site like we discussed when we visited last week! I was outside and missed the phone call, when I came in I had a message from Aunt Bev that said you had updated your website. Great job.
I pray for you and your Mom each day and when I went to Bible Study Wednesday night I put you on our prayer list. So you have a few more folks lifting you up in prayer this week!
Did you finish your Frappucino (don't know how to spell it) drinks yet? Are you ready for some more?
Oh, I understand you got to visit with my Mom, Leslie and little Zoey when they came to Children's yesterday. What did you think about that baby? I know Leslie was looking forward to visiting with you.
We'll give you a call over the weekend.
Love ya much,

Hi Wes! We are so sorry to hear about you being back in the hospital and also about your Mom. We are praying for you and your family. By the way, if you want some CFA, give Scott a call, he is just down the street in our new store that we opened in mid-January. I am sure he will bring it to you. We have a friend who is out of remission with his AML and is undergoing chemo and we deliver CFA to them over at UAB whenever they want it, so I have no doubt that Scott would do it for you too. Just let us know if you need anything at all, you are in our home town, and we would be more than happy to help you out. Scott's number is: 948-5167, if he doesn't answer, leave him a message and he will call you back. Well, you take care, and know we are praying for you.

wes,
I was just browsing through cb sites and come across yours. We are from Dothan alabama. Actually your site caught my attention because I have a son also named Wesley. His diagnosis was ALL. Diagnosed just 2 days after his 18th b-day he fought diligently for 11 months. Endured numerous chemo treatments, bone marrow transplant and all the "wonderful" stuff that goes along with that. He also had an unfailing faith in God. On August 28th 2005, he was healed-not here on earth as I had unceasinly prayed, but he was ultimately healed in Heaven. He is healthier and happier than I am today. But, oh, how I miss him.
We also have a manager of a Chic-fil-A in Dothan that is a Leukemia survivor-Isn't that a coincidence? He and his wife are absolutely precious. I do alot of fund raising for LLS/Light the night walk and they have donated food trays on several different occasions.
Please tell your mom (but I'm sure she already knows) how incredibly blessed she is to have you. Tell her to not let a day go by that she doesn't shower you with hugs and kisses. I know a teenage boy probably thinks that is gross. Reading your journal I see that you already know how blessed you are. But more importantly than having the blessing of being cured...you have the blessing of knowing God in a very personal way. Wesley, He brought you through this experience for a reason. And He allowed you to stay on this earth for a purpose!!! Don't let him down. Find that purpose and live a life for God with every second of every day of your life and the blessings will just keep coming.
By His Grace

Hey Wes,
Found your page from another CaringBrige site-don't remember which one, there are so many.
Congratulations (late) on your 16th birthday. (Watch out America, another teen is ready to take the road!) Just kidding, actually I've seen better driving in some teens than some of the older drivers. Keep yourself and everyone else safe when you drive.
I really like the music on your site. I would like to know the title and artist.
Thanks so much for the positive attitude and words you display on your site. It means a lot for me to hear a teen taking a stand for God and giving him the glory.
Keep lookin up!

Congrats on the 2 year mark!
A young friend of mine has just been diagnosed with AML. He's 18 and was planning on going to college. We trust in God's plan (even when we don't understand it); but, this is a big detour. I'm having difficulty finding comforting contacts with same scenario - AML diagnosed in late teens. Would love some suggestions.

And there is a girl who going into eighth grade has bone cancer called osteogenic sarcoma since May 2003. She went through chemotherapy and is doing well as far as i hear. But please pray for her to get strong to fight off the battle and get her to be in remission soon. I will pray for you, Weasly and other cancer patients. God is always with you all and I am proud to see that you guys fought so brave. Do not be afraid of anything because God is with you. Remember, you are in my prayer always! God Bless You Always!

Hey there Wes! Just stopping by to say hello and hope that everything is going well with you. Judd has been doing really well. He actually walked on his own!!!! No brace, no walker, no nothing, just all by himself. It was very exciting. Unfortunatley, Judd had a little accident this past week and seems to have broken his toe! DARN! So, he hasn't been doing much walking lately. Oh well, just a matter of time until his foot gets better. Well that's all for now. Take care and we'll be back again soon.

Thanks too for asking everyone to pray for Samantha. Without prayer we'd be lost. Dear Wes.. I have been inspired by everyone at Caring Bridge for a long time, but yours is the first guestbook I have signed. I read your journal and find such courage in the way you have met these great obstacles and continue to meet them even in your days of returning to a more normal life. We don't always like the things we have to do in life but we trust the Lord to guide us on the right path. You keep up the great job on your own path. I look forward to reading your journal.. Hey Wes - hope that you have a good week at school and continue to dismiss all the negative garbage. Judgemental people will always be there trying to get in the way of all good intentions. No one can understand miracles and although sometimes people don't mean to be so rude and ignorant, it's hard to deal with. We deal with that every day and still focus on all the positive things that we have been given. It's never easy to go one day to the next and we'll be here all the way pulling for your complete recovery. Goodness knows that i can relate to being bored... we've been snowed on all weekend and couped up in the house a bit. Sorry that you have to visit the dentist again tomorrow... Hang in there :)

Hiya Wes,

Just passin by to say thanx for checkin up on my Michelle :-) aka shellzbellz. Had to come back n let you into a lil secret! Since Shellz got diagnosed, almost three years ago, I have hardly had the time, inclination nor inspiration to get to the dentist, n mann I can tell you I'me probably not far behind you in the world of cavities. I know I better go sort it soon, or a will end up with a new set of teeth that dont quite fit like they aught to;-)

Am glad u got your friend to go check out the Lord. We all need him at some point or another, I like to think that it is better to go seek him because we want to n not just because we think we need him. That is one of the things I love about my girl...Jesus was in her heart from as far back as she was able to go to Sunday School and she never once forgot about him even when school friends mocked her.

You stay Strong Wesley, n keep up with helpin those who dont quite know how to find the right path

Love

Hey Wesley,
dunno how I got here, but wow, your site is awesome, wish I knew how to do all of that cool stuff on our page but hey, we live and learn. It is great that you are back at school.
Wesley, your attitude about that kid's comment is great. Some of those kids will never understand just how smart a guy you are because of what u have had to deal with, even though it is tuff, you have a real advantage over a lot of kids because you understand the value of real love, courage and strength, you will also know by now that there is nothing in this life that you aint strong enough to overcome. I figure that those who say horrid things do it due to one of two reasons, the first is because they are ignorant, and their ignorance breeds fear of what they dont understand-they are to be pitied. The second is just because they are plain dumb and they are to be pitied even more, because at least the ignorant may learn one day, but the dumb, well I guess they stuck like that cos they never seem to learn how to think before they put their mouth into gear, then later when they think bout what they did or said, it hurt them harder than their words could ever hurt you.

You stay tuff Wesely

Lots of Love

Hi Wes! I just had to stop by and see your web site and see the latest graphics. The Thanksgiving stuff is neat and I just love that design chasing that cursor around. Well, I haven't figured out how to get a picture on here so I thought I would send you the 'link' for Barclay, the Meyer's. She is the one we call 'the pill' around here 'cause she likes to bite everyone--the dog, the cat, the other birds, anyone who tries to pick her up except Mommie. (that's me)

Here's the link: www.geocities.com/kade1994/01BarclaySM.jpg

Hi Wes! What an awesome website! I love those graphics! I'm Debra from Feathers 'n Smiles. I wanted to drop by and say Happy Birthday yesterday. My oldest son was 30 yrs old on the 17th, too. My younger son was born on the 5th, so we used to combine the parties. I still got 2 cakes and each one got their own presents. It was really kinda fun, like double the cake and friends and presents!!

I have birds, too, as you may know since I am from Feathers 'n Smiles. We have 5 birds right now and I tell you they are like potato chips-you can't 'eat' just one! I have gotten all my birds in the last year! I haven't figured out how to put pics into the guesbook yet, but Cathie is trying to teach me, so I'll try to do that soon.

In the meantime, Harley, my Timneh African Grey, is in there going 'wanna cracker' and he's supposed to be going nite-nite, so I better go....

Wow, the birds were all chattering away this evening about someone's special day...and then I finally figured out who they were talking about. So, we all decided to cruise on over to your guestbook and let you know we were thinking about you down here in Houston!

In case you're wondering who the flock is, that is baby 6 month old Callao the Half Moon Conure in the top left corner, Tripoli the Yellow Nape Amazon (1 year)in the top right corner, Pompeii the Severe Macaw on the branch (1 year) Dasani the 2 MONTH old baby Blue Headed Pionus in the bottom left, and Mirage the 5 month old baby African Congo Grey in the bottom right.

I am sorry to see you are on Caringbridge, it means you are dealing with something medically that no one should have to deal with. But I do want to say, I dont think Heather (post below this one) or you realize, its NOT that the groups you mentioned are nitpicking - they have a valid point - they do not want their graphics used on sites without their permission because they dont want their name or site associated with pornography, racism, etc. I am NOT saying thats the case here of course! But also you have to PAY to store graphics on a site and link to them from other pages, and if people all over the internet used their graphics they would have to pay astronomical bandwidth fees. I know because I have several sites and have exceeded the monthly bandwidth limits myself.

Sweetie...
Just to try and explain to you...it is not so much the graphic you are using here and in guestbooks, it is that you are NOT saving them onto your computer and then using them off of your own website or storage. The graphics you are using are still being used from the sites which you have taken them from. This is using someone else' bandwidch. And when you do this it drains others of their sties online time. Which cost them money...I hope you will take down all the graphics you are using on your page and in people's guestbooks. If someone reports you, there could be consiquences you may not like or be prepared for.

Hey Wes, It's me, Deirdre. What do you mean they are mad at you? Who are you talking about. The people who make the quilts? I don't understand? But anyway, honey, you better rinse your mouth, you know what happens if you don't! I'm glad that you like my picture... I don't! I need to lose some pounds. Can you believe that my dr. wants me to be on a diet even though I'm doing radiation? That must really tell me something...huh? Well I hope you have fun at the fair. Be good and do as your supposed to get better! May God bless you and wrap you in His loving arms. I'll write again soon my little friend. Deirdre P.S. if they are upset with you, maybe you should write to them and tell them you didn't know you were doing anything wrong! I'm sorry about the quilt, if I knew how to sew, I'd make you one:)

Random Acts of Kindness

Thanks fr signing my guestbook :) And happy anniversary! 370 days now (well in my timezone it is)! I know the picture is really meant for wedding anniversaries but I couldn't find any for BMT anniversaries. Maybe I should write to Hallmark about that ;)

I really love your site :) I know html but I still need to work out how to use it on a caringbridge page.

You're in my prayers, I'll be coming back soon.

Wes,I am sorry to hear that you can't go to school right now but so happy to hear that you are doing good. Our family continues to pray for you each night. I go to Deanna's grave three or four times a week. I always carry a fresh bouquet of flowers from our flower garden. She would love the way it looks. You know she always loved her "things". The more that she had scattered around, the better she liked it. She is forever in our minds and hearts. I will always think of her when I see a butterfly. Take care of yourself and be happy.
