Hey sweetie...I sent an email and wanted to sign here, too...miss our exchanges, but I hope that means your lives are busy and going well. Suppose that wallaby must be quite a grown up by now! Give Mark our best, hugs for you and your husband, too. We're coming on spring here in the states, and I hope you have plenty of water in your tanks and no bush fires nearby. Australia has had a hard time of it the last couple of years with the EI outbreak and then these awful fires. Hope you and yours are well and have had no problems.
Love,

stopping by and glad to see you have signed and things are going as well as can be expected. I know that the holidays are the most difficult. But being busy is good.

I don't think I knew you owned horses...I to own horses and a paint... However, I do not show but really enjoy hearing the stories about others. I too have a paint.

Take care of yourself.

Big hugs and love to you as always...will be looking forward to your email when you have time, but just glad to hear a little news and that things are "tolerable". There's no good word...that's the best I can come up with. Hug Mark from a friend in the States...someday I hope he'll join David Beckham in LA for the Galaxy and tell him I'll come see him play!!! :)
Give Bear and Lacey love for me, too, and your sweet wallaby. I've heard they can be stinkers, but that was watching Steve Irwin. Crikey! :) We miss his face, too. Too many have gone on in the past few years...but we keep up the hope we have that we'll see them soon and that they are keeping a place for us. Until then, we'll do our duty and enjoy as much as we can for as long as we can. When we're called home, what a reunion it will be.

Love and hugs,
Jen

More hugs and prayers from the States. We are getting into fall now which means you're headed for spring! Hope the weather is good there and you can keep the tank filled this summer and all the horses in good health...no outbreaks. Bet Mark is doing all kinds of fun stuff..maybe soccer for summer? We'd do baseball here, but I don't know how common that is in Australia...anyway, last of course but not least I hope the waves hit you less often and less hard, and that when you have memories, you can remember without re-living the emotion, too. Living it once is enough.
Loving you guys from way "Up Over" in the states...

Hi Julie and everyone,

You were on my mind today and I just wanted to let you know we are remembering Steven and you VERY often. I hope your winter is not too dreary without him, but I suppose it would have to be a miracle to be otherwise. Let Mark know we also think of him in particular, as he has always been such an inspiration in keeping life going in the midst of it all. I hope you can take some refuge in the horses and cry in their manes, Julie. So many times I think they are angels on earth.

All my love,
Jen

We are here, thinking of you and saying prayers for comfortable days and nights for Steven, and for things to keep you close. There's a purity in living when things come down to this...a focus that allows you to push away most of the petty things that plague our day to day existence. I know you treasure every moment. Know that we love you from so far away. I wish I could hug you all and take it from you. I know many people wish the same thing. Tell Steven he's amazing. I pray for angels to surround you and that you'd feel that love beating in their wings. God bless you all.

G'day!

Ok, so I admit I am an English measurement gal...not really up on metric, although I do try. I was looking on a measuring cup that also has metric and 38 ml...milliliters...is like 1/4" of rain! That is NOT MUCH and here I was thinking that you were getting all this wonderful water back this week. Really only 38 ml!???? "Land SAKES!!" as they say in the southern US. ( Means "holy cow", if you were wondering...) (And I'm not from the south, but they have great sayings!)

Well, I guess 38 ml is enough for everyone to have about a half a glass of water. I sure hope you get more soon! I'll see if I can find out totals on the internet somehow, not that it will change anything, but you know... it'll make ME feel better. Wish I could send you some. It's been raining lots here...flooding all over the midwest, etc.

Well, anyway, as long as Steven has been doing ok, that's the main thing.

Lotsa love to all of you!

Yea! What a good morning I am having, just to wake up and see that Steven is doing ok and you are having good times together. So sorry that the drought is ongoing... just adds to your stress, I'm sure. Hope the dust doesn't exacerbate Steven's difficulty breathing, but if it were moist and humid, molds would surely be in the air and he would have some troubles. Anyway, have a great day, week, and hopefully as it cools off and gets ready for winter there, some rain will come soon.

Oh my gosh...what a way to have things come crashing down on you, but we are praying for your strength through this, for a miracle, still, and for Steven's lucidity while he struggles, so that you can all have each other clear-headed as long as possible. I just know that there will be an angel who comes to give you peace for the moments you need it most, and for the journey Steven will take. I'm not sure, but I don't think time is the same in heaven, Steven, and once you arrive there, I think it will seem fast that your family comes to join you, so I think you won't have time to miss them. I know they will miss you incredibly, but we won't ever let people forget your courage, Steven!! You will keep helping people even afterwards, because they will hear about you and get inspired to live better and love more than they did before. I know you've already done that for many around you.
We will be back soon to check on you. Mom, Dad, don't be obligated to come and update unless you want to. If it's therapeutic, vent all you want, but if it isn't...well, just do it on your timetable and not because you feel any obligation, ok?
We love you and send hugs across the ocean for all of you.

God bless you, especially in these coming weeks and months.

HI Steven and family,
What a cute picture, what is your dogs name? We have two cats, but Hollyn would love to have a dog, maybe someday. I am so proud of you that you are going to school when you can, that is awesome. I am sure it brings smiles to your teacher and friends. You are so special, and remarkable Steven, you keep smiling and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Hollyn does tae kwon do, and she always wants me to add this, Pil-sung, it means I can do it! You stay brave and strong, praying for good health, rain, and to be added to that transplant list. Our hearts are with you all!

Hello again, Steven!
Is it warm where you are today? I have to say, it is chilly but not as cold as I thought it might be at Christmas. We usually have a little snow on the ground and freezing temperatures, but this year is a little warmer. I'm sure we'll freeze our buns off in January, as always, though! You'll be sweating and we'll be shivering. I'll imagine I'm with you and we are going to the Great Barrier Reef to snorkle and soak up the sun, ok? :)
Did you have a good Christmas? We had a lot of family with us and good food. Hope you did, too.

Well, have to run! We'll check in a little later! Have a Happy New Year!

Hi Steven,

Love the new picture with your puppy, adorable of course, just like you! You've been in our thoughts and nightly prayers. Its good to hear your chest xray and ultrasound remain clear. We do keep you in our prayers for your lung functions and the bone curvature side effects of your treatment and what the possible next steps may be for you. We are greatful that the VPAP is going well at night and that you have great support from your lovely school--that is awesome they've gotten you a scooter! I bet it has a hard time keeping up with all the fun you have in mind :> We are praying that this Christmas is the best one ever for you and your family to enjoy special times with each other, but most especially, to be Blessed by His Incredible Gift Of Jesus for Our Futures!

WarmHugs to you all from across the oceans, Grace and Katey

Hi Steven!!! Well, sorry it has been so long since I came and said I'd send you jokes! I have found some...some good, some bad...you decide! Hope you're feeling well today!

"Karl and Ben went out hunting. They were just bedding down in their tents one night when a huge, snarling bear lumbered into their campsite. Karl quickly knelt down and started lacing up his sneakers. 'What good will that do?' shouted Ben. 'You can't outrun a bear.' Karl replied,'I only have to outrun YOU!'

What do you suppose THAT means!? :) Hope it made you smile!

Here's one more:
In the middle of a sweltering summer afternoon, the Thomas family was entertaining out-of-town guests. When supper was ready, the father asked the youngest son to say the blessing.
The boy whispered to his father, "But what do I say?"
The father replied, "Just say what you've heard me say before."
So the boy bowed his head and said in a loud voice, "Oh Lord, why in heaven's name did I ever invite these people on a hot day like today?"

Have a great day and a Merry Christmas if I don't get back out to visit you again in the next week or so.

Love,
Jen

Hi there cutie-bum steven!
Gee it's been a few years now since i've seen you in the flesh, but I bet you are still as cute as ever!
Hope you are having a wild time on that new scooter of yours, sounds like fun! I used to hoon round on a scooter too, but I actually wore it to the ground through over use!
I often think of you and try to send all the positive energies I can to you and your family.

Hey there Steven,
Well, I hear you have a new scooter! SAY it isn't even Christmas yet and you're already getting presents! No fair! :)
Just kiddin!! Glad to hear you have a way to get around school without it pooping you out too much and that you are able to sleep with that machine. Don't think I could do that, so bravo to you, bud.
We just found you, so I wanted to let you know that we are praying for you and for your breathing to get easier. You know, there is a verse in the Bible that I put on my son's site and it is in John. It is where the disciples are asking what about this guy that was born blind? Someone must have really sinned and done some BAD stuff for him to be so sick, right? But Jesus says, no one sinned, but this happened so that the work of God would be shown in his life. Maybe that is what this is all for, for you, too, Steven. Maybe you are supposed to be an inspiration for people to look at and say, "You know what, if Steven can still go and do all the things he does and be smiling and happy, then I CAN TOO!" Then, there is also the possibility that God will also show Himself when he arranges for you to be better, either through healing your lungs without any medical help, or through a transplant or something else. We don't know what God has in mind, but that's possible.
In any case, we will pray for you and I will probably be back to send you some jokes!
Do you like jokes, Steven? :)
Here's one, just to get you started: Why didn't the skeleton cross the road?
He didn't have the guts!!!!

Gotta run. Have a GREAT day!

Happy New Year. Are you all enjoying the heat Doesn't seem right to this American who thinks of January as the coldest month of the year. We broke loose yesterday and bought two portable air con units. One for each bedroom. We already had one in the den. The weather looks like we might have a break in the dry heat with some rain next week. We hope to head to the Gold Coast and go to Movie World. We had such fun on Andrew's make a wish to Disney, but don't know that our hearts will ever let us go again . Trey will enjoy this opportunity. Glad the steroids seem to be helping.

Hope it was all good. We are on opposite weather patterns again. Here it has rained sooo much in the past month that there is flooding in many areas. Hi, my name is Lynn I have stumbled upon your site while setting one up for my daughter Carolyn. Carolyn was diagnosed with wilms (stage3) July 2000. Relapsed in her lung dec. 2000, finished treatment july 20002 and has been off for a year and a half. this tuesday they called to say there are 4 or 5 spots on her right lung. Our Dr is exploring options but I feel like they are going to say there is nothing to be done as everyone says they just don't know much about wilms once you get this far out. I was excited to see your site as your son has been treated after a second relapse. we live in Brantford Ontario and I am wondering if you have any words of wisdom to pass on, If you know the Drs. in this area or have suggestions on where I can get info. (right now we are not doing anything scheduled for more scans feb 11).

Hope you are feeling like your old self again soon. Maybe it is just from the Heat wave you have there. You know that is really an odd thing for someone in Wisconsin to write.
