Welcome to Zo’s CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

After beating T-Cell Lymphoma in 2016, Zo started to have stomach pains again in January 2023. She was diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoma and quickly started chemo treatments again in March. Before her 6th and final round of chemo in July, a PET scan showed new activity in her abdomen and she started to have increased stomach pains. Since July, she's been in and out of the hospital and has seen numerous doctors to try and determine what's going on. She's undergone multiple biopsies, but they have all come back inconclusive. We moved her case to the Mayo Clinic and decided to move ahead with surgery to find a diagnosis and resection her stomach to help ease her pain. Zo underwent surgery on 12/7 - they removed 12" of her small bowel and part of the problematic lymph node to biopsy.

Around Christmas, they were able to confirm she still has B-Cell Lymphoma (either a quick relapse or did not respond to chemo), so recommend we start Epkinly - a newer antibody injection. She is currently undergoing Epkinly treatment to try and put her in remission or get her strong enough for CAR-T therapy in a few months.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Jennifer Wagner

Hello and Happy May! Wanted to give everyone the latest update on my mom:

After some initial good results from her Epkinly treatment, some abdominal pain returned.  After consulting with U of M and Mayo it was decided to stop treatment and start a new course of treatment called POLIVY.  A chemo component may be added to this treatment after her cells are harvested for future use with Car-T Therapy.  Her new treatment will start tomorrow bright and early at 7AM.

Her back has also started to flare up again, this time in a lower area, so she will have an MRI to figure out where the pain is stemming from in a couple weeks.

She reads all your comments and loves to hear from everyone, so please continue to keep her in your thoughts and well wishes ❤️
