Newest Update

Journal entry by Jenniffer Lollar

Happy Tuesday everyone I know it’s been a little bit since the last update we have been busy getting adjusted at home this has been a good thing but also some challenges.
Since zoey arrived home she has been in such good spirits she loves being home and in her own environment and cuddling with her dog Kobe. They love to take naps together 🥰  We have gotten out of the house for some fresh air and change of scenery zoey got to go to the bowling alley she enjoyed it but was definitely a challenge for her to play the games. We went to the sponge bob square pants musical at the high school she loved it but could only sit for the first half.
Zoey also attended some follow up appointments in Iowa City where she got her stitches removed I think we counted a total of 50 she was a trooper and was so brave. She continues to amaze me every day with her determination and strength.

We got out and went to the store a few times, and went to her favorite stores goodwill and the depot this made her super happy 😃

I think her favorite 🤩 times so far have been visits from her bestie and reading all of the cards, and letters from classmates and friends and family. She has been enjoying all the encouragement you guys are all the best!!

Zoey was super excited to see her older sister Hallie who is home from College in Kansas this week for Thanksgiving, we plan to go to the Holiday Lights walk through tomorrow night she’s very excited she loves the lights!!

We hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving and time with friends and family. We plan to have a nice relaxing day.

Zoey’s next appointments we will address the catheter she still has on Dec 1st, and also meet with her Orthopedic surgeon on Dec 6 to discuss her scoliosis. Each day she gets better at walking and getting around but she still needs help to do everything this is difficult for her since she was so independent for so long we just keep reminding her it takes time.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁
