“ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Dear Prayer Warriors,

I’ve heard from so many that you miss the updates on Caring Bridge. Today is my final post, but please please please always call, text or email myself or Zoe for her continued progress.

#7months

Zoe had a follow-up with the orthopedic doctor and her hip is looking great. No arthritis or bone overgrowth. She is working out with a personal trainer and gaining more strength and range of motion every day. Her eye is open and just about 100% straight!!! Another miracle unfolding before our eyes(no pun intended!). The double vision is still present, but has improved.

The biggest news post 7 months is that Zoe is living independently. She has a one-bedroom condo in Scottsdale which is about 45-min from us. This is the interim step before she moves back to Salt Lake. We went to SL over the 4th of July and had an awesome experience meeting Mark (Asst Ski Patrol) and Gabe. They helped us move her stuff into storage since her lease was up. Mark was there Dec 5th so his last vision of Zoe was being loaded onto the helicopter. We were so grateful for their help, but also Mark’s testimony to our miracle.

I’d like to introduce Hercules! He is Zoe’s pup that will be trained as a service dog to support her healing. We have prayed for the perfect dog, at the perfect time, for the perfect price…and once again God heard us. We picked him up one day after the 7 month anniversary of Zoe’s accident. He’s an Australian Sheppard and Standard Poodle max and is the cutest cuddler! She named him after her trauma name Hercules.

Some of you knew we were looking for a service pup and wanted to contribute to his training fund once we reached this point. Training will be approximately $4500. If you’d like to contribute please use the original GoFundMe Account or Venmo Zoe: @Zoe-Messer.

We have soooo much to be thankful for! We have sooooo many people who have loved, prayed, and taken care of us. We can’t thank you enough, but know we are here for you too in your time of need.

If you don’t have my cell here it is: 602.370.9062. Please stay in contact if we aren't already.

Zoe’s story isn’t finished…it’s really just beginning thanks to our miraculous Lord.

God bless friends and family. We love you.
