This is a strange time for everyone. The uncertainty with everything clings as I try hard not to panic. All I can do is continue to do my best with what is our new reality for now along with the rest of the world.

The good new in our world is Bryce has continued to make strides. He started attempting to create more movement in his legs where we noticed he was so close to crawling when he got on all fours.

A few weeks ago, his OT has him in the floor for a good 40 min in a crawl position helping him practice moving his legs forward along with his hands enticing him with toys. She noticed his left leg just wouldn’t go anywhere but said he was so very close to crawling.

Watching him take the initiative to work up to get on all fours the past month meant so much to us.

Later that night before bed, I took one last attempt for the day and Bryce was into it, he kept trying to crawl as I enticed him with whatever toy I could find. Soon enough I noticed slight movement in his left leg and was really quite shocked, I thought to myself wow this is really going to happen anytime minute now!

The next morning, I went to get Bryce and sister as I normally do. It has been great to see Bryce more active and wanting to play and move his body especially in the mornings after a good night sleep (he’s a very good sleeper!) I set him down on his bedroom floor for more attempts as I was determined and I knew he was too.
Just a few attempts and he moved his left leg forward, then the right, left, right, left again and grabbed that toy! I’m so proud I got it all on video! We are so thankful for this new chapter in his life and it brings so much hope and relief!

Thanks for reading and please stay safe and well. Love to you all!
