Newest Update

Journal entry by Marissa Rodgers

Lil Pooh is making progress! We haven't posted much about him in the last few days, so here's the update:
They are in talks about stopping his antibiotics, but will discuss tomorrow on that.
He is loving daddy's touch. It calms him and he smiles or just looks in awe at Mason.
He responds to mommas voice a bit more now and looks at me anytime I talk to him, my touch isn't as good as daddy's, but he is tolerating it(momma needs to do more hands on, but haven't due to pain around my incision area still. My nerves around that area have come back and oof.)
His stats are stable. But he's doing so good with them!
They are in talks that if he continues to keep high stating(he has been staying in the 90s for his O2 levels and 160s for Heart rate) then they will look into putting him back on his big boy ventilator! That means momma and daddy can get way more snuggles!
He loves sleeping all spread out 😂.
He tries to grab our fingers to hold them!

Update on us: we are making it. Celebrating his small steps, and trying to explore Denver to get away from NICU and give us some us time. We went to the Denver Zoo with Amanda Denise Rodgers, Kip Tryon, and Christy Graver Tryon and Odin last Friday! The aquarium yesterday and got lil one a whale that plays sounds and cheeks light up! Surprisingly, a bit ago we played it at the softest setting, and he went wide eyed, smiled(ish) and just looked at it in such awe!
