Journal

This is my final post because our boy is *healed.* It feels like it has both taken forever to get to this point and like the accident happened just yesterday. Either way, we are beyond thankful to have gotten here!! Wyatt has been brace and cast free for about three weeks and is almost past all of his restrictions. Right now his only limitations are not jumping on trampolines, no roller coasters, and absolutely no tackling or wrestling. The last one has definitely been the hardest to enforce with James on the loose!
Lately Wyatt has been able to go to the beach and run free, he earned student of the month in his class, and got to visit Santa and just ask for normal kid things. Daniel and I find ourselves spontaneously crying with gratitude when we see how close to normal he is now and when we think of how close he was to the opposite.

There is a picture below that I haven’t felt ready to share yet, but I guess now is the time! Back in October we took Wyatt to see a ring from the tree that hit him. We were all pretty speechless when we saw him standing next to it.  Wyatt didn’t miss a beat and said, “I really am a super hero! I beat that tree!”  He will always be a super hero to us and a constant reminder that miracles do happen.

We want to say a final thank you to everyone for all of your support through our darkest days. Your prayers, kind words, true concern, and love still leave me awestruck.

Happy holidays to you all!

Love,

The Parrish Family
