Journal entry by Joanne Nigbor —
We all knew I was a fragile fragile flower right? Turns out I have osteoporosis o top of everything else. Can we just STOOOOOOOOOOP 🛑
So what's this one mean? Looks like an infusion every 3 months for 2 years of Zometa. What is that exactly? Don't know yet....I am digging myself into another hole researching everything.
So cancer drugs tend to deplete bone as a side effect, so they wanted a baseline. It was a simple procedure laying down like an xray (attached a pic of that machine). If you are under -2.5 you are '....In danger grl...' Bonus points if you know what movie that's from.
-2.7 in hips
-4 in lumbar spine
I am a fragile fucking flower!!!!!
And, also, $ update attached. No big deal. The lumpectomy day in itself was $60,526 😳
Switching to a lower deductible health care plan for next year, cuz, adulting.
If you haven't seen yet, Friends are throwing a shin dig for me and I would really love it if EVERYONE could come. It would really mean a lot. Since Covid I have become a fan of my couch but now I'm kinda realizing life is short -
