She was born November 21, 1941 in Topeka to Gerald and Maggie (Yoder) Yoder.

On June 2, 1962 she married Norman A. Maust in Goshen.

He survives along with three children, Janell Maust of Goshen, Joy (Rodney) Holmes of Middlebury, and James (Crystal) Maust of Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren, Grace (Sam) Johnson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Isaac, Rachel and Karis Maust of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Waneta (Stephen) Riegsecker of Sturgis, Michigan, and Wealtha (Dave) Helland of Rockford, Illinois; and two brothers, Warren (Janet) Yoder and Wes (Ruthie) Yoder, both of Goshen.

Wilmetta made many lasting relationships at Bethany Christian High School, where she worked for many years in the front office, often the first person greeting students in the mornings.

In retirement she enjoyed time with her family, volunteering at The Depot in Goshen, and exercising with friends at Beacon Health. She expressed her love for her family and others through baking, cooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 17 at Pleasant View Church, 58529 C.R. 23, Goshen, where Wilmetta was a long time member.
