I have been home two weeks and it is great to be here. As Linda mentioned I came down with pneumonia and another infection which took my doctors a little more time to determine the right antibiotic to treat me which kept me in the hospital 14 days. When I was first released I was very weak, weaker than when I was in the hospital the first time for the stem cell transplant. I’m feeling stronger every day , walking and working with a physical therapist, although I feel my recovery is very slow. I have lost a lot of weight and need to regain this weigh (drinking a lot of Boost milk shakes). I am still very susceptible to catching a cold or virus , so I am staying close to home.
Linda made the ultimate sacrifice and stayed overnight with me 13 of the 14 days I was in the hospital. She needed some recovery time as well. She is back to her regular routine. I am very grateful to Linda for her unconditional care for me. We continue to rely on our Lord as we know he is in control and sustains us. Hope you all are doing well. Thank you for your prayers, calls and support.
