Willa ’s Story

Site created on September 8, 2022

I decided to start a caring bridge site to document Willa’s medical journey, and to keep loved ones up to date on her experiences. If you are here, you have been a source of love and support for our family and we are so grateful. I hope this site provides plenty of information to help you understand our brave, strong girl and the unique path laid out before her. Willa has a harder road than some, but she continues to thrive because of the love and support of her family and friends!

The journal entries are numbered to help you follow along in order. Caring Bridge doesn't let me arrange them, so I numbered them instead. I hope this provides some direction and clarity as you read.

And we are home. Willa is much better today since we started treating thrush. And she’s as happy as we are to be home. Seeing Woods lifted us all up, and his playful loving energy has been a balm to our tired hearts. We are grateful to have that surgery behind us, to be home and to be loved and supported by such a wonderful community of family and friends.
