Journal entry by Wesley Nigon

"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow," has been a song I have heard two years in a row.  Last year I heard it the day before I started treatments, and this year I heard it on my one year anniversary post diagnosis and I thankfully still continue to be cancer free.

It's hard to put this last year into words and the mental hurdles I faced and continue to face, seem to get better with the passing of time.

Besides the sentiment of that song, my family, friends, work family, and employer, you will all never know how much your support in the past year has meant to me.  I am blessed.

I am looking forward to continuing to put cancer behind me and get back to some normalcy, which includes spending precious time with friends and family enjoying life.

One of my biggest struggles continues to be my life long ban for blood donation.  I am so appreciative of those that have donated on my behalf. In true Wes fashion, I will still continue to send out calls for people to donate, so get on that please.

Thanks everyone and ugga mugga,

Wes
