Here is the latest in Wendy’s cancer journey Part Two. Friday she got her second cycle of chemo at Mayo in Phoenix. Her chemo was delayed three weeks after the first cycle, because when she went to Mayo for her monthly Covid test, they told her she tested positive. This was about a week after she did a test at our local government center and tested negative. In any case that delayed things. Both Wendy and Mike ended up with Covid and suffered through it for about a month, but both had relatively mild cases. Wendy did well with this cycle of chemo on Friday with her new port, which she wasn’t able to have last year. They use that for her infusions now, instead of using an IV and having to poke her multiple times to find a vein. She feels blessed to have the port.
