Dear Friends of Wendy,

Wendy has finished her race.  She went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning at 8:47 here at her home.  Family spent the last two weeks of her life, surrounding her with love, prayers, music, scripture and laughter. 

Wendy had not been feeling well and was having great difficulty standing up from chairs and was not able to get up from the floor if she fell.  She had a scheduled MRI on Friday June 14th and followed up with an appointment with her oncologist on June 18th.   The doctor did some evaluation and then informed Wendy that she had about 3 months with or without treatment.  He wanted her to see her radiologist oncologist.  She saw that doctor on June 20th and he told her that she had weeks due to the cancer returning to her brain and spine. He told her that the treatment would not help and the tests to decide on any type of treatment would be very painful.

Wendy came back to her apartment in her brother's home and was cared for by family.  Her decline was rapid and yet she never complained and was always ready to give a smile or a thumbs up.  She slept most of the final week, but would wake up and acknowledge people until the final few days.  

Wendy was a wonderful and inspiring woman, who shared love with all the people she would meet. She will be missed, but we stand firm on the promise that she is with the Lord and in complete peace and joyfully worshiping the Lord.
