Mom was supposed to get her second round of chemo today but her blood labs came back showing her platelets are low so her doctors decided to skip this week’s session. They are checking out of Hope Lodge and headed back home to McCook today as her next appointment is next week with the oncologist in Kearney. Please pray for safe travels for them, car rides and nausea do not mix well.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who showed up, donated, purchased food and worked at the Tri-State Livestock fundraising event. It touched every single family member’s heart and brought many tears to our eyes. My aunt Mindi Bauer said there was a lot of love there and it just truly shows how loved and supported my mom is. Thank you Jesus. We will keep everyone updated on Mom’s treatment. She is really dealing with the side effects now and isn’t feeling up for visitors at this time so please send your well wishes (you can message me or Maddie if you want to send her a card, I bet she would love that). We also want to make it a priority to keep her immunity strong right now. We are excited for my mom to be able to be home and are praying it gives her exactly what she needs to continue this awful fight.

There will be another fundraising event on Wednesday, May 8th at 5:30-7pm hosted by a group of mom’s friends called “Wendi’s Warriors”.  So many people have graciously donated food, gifts for the silent auction, t-shirts for sale via a special order form, and for many, their time and efforts for this event. The famous fair food booth pie ladies will be making pies which is a core summer memory my mom and I share, so I couldn’t be more thankful for them. I’ve attached a flyer with more information. Thank you again for loving our mom as much as we do!
