Newest Update

Journal entry by Michelle Weaver

I know it's been awhile since I updated on here! I guess we've been too busy going away!😆 Winter has ended and we can now go away as a family and I can go for groceries whenever I want instead of waiting till evening when Bryan's at home!! Most of all it is SO good to all go to church together! Easter Sunday was a very special day, taking Paxton to church for the very first time! He still isn't a huge fan of big crowds and he's always very happy to come home to his own familiar environment!
We made it through the winter with no more oxygen needed!!! He did catch a cold a couple times but he always fought it off without too much of a problem! It'll be great to see all the oxygen supplies go out the door! His next appointment with his pulmonologist was supposed to this past Fri but I had to change so now it isn't till end of May. I guess that's why you try to make those type of appointments work when you have them cuz they are always booked way out. So the stuff probably won't leave till after that appointment.
In March he had a hearing test and an eye exam, both of which he passed with flying colors! He shouldn't need another hearing test unless we would notice any issues. And at his eye exam they said to bring him back in 2 years for another checkup. We'll see if I remember to schedule that appointment!
We will meet with his neurologist for the first time in May. The neurosurgeon had been following up with his brain bleed up until now but anymore there shouldn't be complications with that so neurology will take over from now on to monitor his development, etc.
With OT our focus is no longer on feeding issues since he's been doing great downing his bottles without coughing! Right now we're working at strengthening his right arm and trying to get him to use it more. He favors his left side and he's getting so used to doing everything with his left arm so it could become more of an issue once he wants to start crawling, etc. when he first started rolling from back to belly at 9mo he did it both ways but anymore he always goes to the right so then his right arm tends to get stuck underneath him and he soon gets frustrated cuz he thinks he can't get it out.
He's been sitting for a little while now so he's pretty well entertained with a pile of toys in front of him! And I would say overall he's doing very well considering all he went through in the past 10 months! It's hard to believe in less than 2 months he will be celebrating his first birthday!!
Coming up on all the one year marks also sparks lots of memories, some of which we would rather not have to remember! We just past the year mark of finding out it's twins! SO much has happened since then so it seems like such a long time ago and yet I remember it like it was yesterday! But looking over the past year I can see God's hand in it all!! Thank you all again for all your prayers and support!!
