The past two days have been beautifully awful. To be totally honest, the pain was even more than I expected. It was gut-wrenchingly horrible to see Dad in the funeral home. This man who gave me life TWICE - how can I put into words how much I love him?!
I can’t.
So, I’ll say this… We got through these days together. Our family is Sanders Strong and we loved on each other and supported each other the best we could. It is so foreign to be parentless… But, Love remains and it’s strong. We don’t move on without Dad, but with all of the memories and his love within us.

To those who came, those who watched the livestream, those who sent texts and emails… Thank you! YOU helped carry us through. Every moment with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends was deeply needed and truly appreciated. I even met a man who knew Mom and Dad back when they first met and started dating. 💜 The love that we all felt was beautiful.
Life is meant to be lived together. All of us. We all have life to live and moments to cherish. Together.
