I haven't posted in awhile, but can now give you a progress report.

1.  Wayne's stroke was caused by an infection, so he has been on IV antibiotics for 10 weeks to clear the infection out of his body.  In the early stages, he was septic (a life-threatening infection that affects the whole body), so we are very thankful the antibiotics worked, and he is now off of them as of last week. 

2. The brain bleed has been absorbed completely, and the MRI shows there are no additional aneurysms in the brain.  Again, something to be very thankful for!

3. He has regained full function in his left arm, and the first three fingers of his left hand (thumb, index, and middle finger). The ring finger and little finger are still a problem.  He can't feel those two fingers, and has no sense of what they are doing.  These two fingers are important for strength and sustainability when holding something in his hand.  Occupational and physical therapy continue to work with him to get back full function.  It is amazing how much he has recovered in the two and a half months since his stroke.  Again, much to be thankful for!  Your prayers have been a part of him having this good outcome!  Thank you!!
