Wayne’s Story

In mid- Nov. Wayne was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer after having a normal PSA 1 year ago. This was verified by a Bone Scan and CT Scan that showed metastasis in the spine, but thankfully not in any organs.


Wayne was anointed with oil for healing by our Pastor and prayed over by our church leaders as written about in James 5:14-16. We want God to be glorified in our lives and we yield to His will.To live is for Christ, to die is our gain!! 


Wayne was started on hormone treatment the next week. His Gleason score was 9 on the pathology report following his TURP.  Today we met with the Lutheran Cancer Resource Center and the nurse helped us get a better understanding of what we are facing. In 3 weeks we meet with our oncologist. So each day we are finding the Lord to be faithful.


We want to say a very heartfelt thank you for all of your prayers, cards, e-mails,calls, love and support shown to us at this time in our lives. You have been a special encouragement to us! May the Lord bless you as we celebrate the hope we have in Him this Christmas!

The journey is over and Wayne is in the arms of Jesus!

This happened yesterday morning. I'm sorry for the tardiness of this report, but there was much to do on no sleep. In the end his breathing just stopped! The struggle in his mortal body was over and he was in the arms of Jesus his Lord and Savior! 

He was so grateful to the Lord for the last 10 and 1/2 years that He gave us since the first dire prognosis! Even though he was on treatment the entire time, God blessed us with the best years of our marriage and relationship with Him!

I can't begin to tell you how much your prayers, comments, cards and outpouring of love and support has meant to us! Thank you for being there for us!
