Oofta. It's been awhile since I've updated everyone on my dad. Sorry about that!

Wayne started his weekly radiation and chemo treatments on October 9. Tomorrow he will start week 5 of 6, and so far he's been doing great! He is able to stay at the Hope Lodge which is a facility about a block and a half away from the building he has all of his treatments and appointments in. He stays there Sunday night through Friday, and then is able to come home on the weekends. Up until today, he's been driving himself back and forth, so he really is doing so well.

These last two weeks of treatment, his doctors have asked that he have someone stay with him since his treatments are likely to make him feel pretty tired and crummy. Tonight and tomorrow, my aunt Pam is able to stay with him, and then his friends Al and Mitch are able to stay with him the rest of the week and next week. I am so thankful to have such wonderful people in our lives so I am able to be home with Mila and not miss school, and still be certain my dad is well taken care of. 

His two surgery sites have healed wonderfully. His jaw is getting stronger and stronger each day, and he barely even has a limp in his leg. It and his treatments have slowed him down a little bit, but hopefully by next spring he'll have the strength back for his motorcycles!
