Journal entry by Waluta Kills Warrior

Hi my name is Waluta KillsWarrior. I am from Rosebud South Dakota but live in Denver CO. I am currently on my last few months of School to become a Medical Assistant.  These last few months of school are externship months which and have become really stressful trying to pay bills and getting out of a abusive relationship which has strained me financially and emotionally. I was going to put externship on hold for a while and get back to work but if I do I will be withdrawn from school and will have to take classes over. I have worked so hard for everything I have today to lose everything now.  Overcoming a lot in these last 3 years and trying to reach my goals to become successful is all I want in life these days. Back in 2018 I was told I had 2 weeks to live due to alcoholism when the doctor told me that news I sat in my hospital bed and told myself and the lord that if I was to live I would live right and do better. When I first got sick my MELD SCORE was 31 today it is 13. In and out of the hospital going through 2 liver transplant evaluations and dealing with many health issues that I caused myself has not stopped me from being the person I was meant to be in the first place.  Having a strong mindset you can overcome anything and that is what I did. I am 3 years sober today and will continue on that path. All I am asking for today is a little help to continue on my path and pay bills until I get started in my Career.  All money will go to bills (rent, car payment, car insurance, electricity, food, etc....) I never thought I would be having to ask for help but times have become so stressful and any help would be greatly appreciated.
