I’m so sorry for the delayed update. This week has been a whirlwind.
Mom was successfully transferred to Abbott Northwestern Courage Kenny inpatient 11/29. She’s on W2500. The transfer was pretty overwhelming but she’s officially in her room and the admitting resident came to see her and did his assessment.
The spine specialist MD will rounds daily and she will receives a daily schedule. She is working so hard every day with PT and OT. Every day she gets stronger and gets closer to recovery. Mom is standing using the parallel bars and assistance. Working on controlling her left leg and strengthening her right. She is learning new skills on how to be independent with her cares.
Now that she has learned the system and how her daily schedule works, visitors are welcome. Calls are also still welcome. She has her cell phone so please feel free to call. If you decide to visit, reach out to Mom so she knows.
