Update from Cole:
After 60 days combined of being in the PICU not knowing if our Son was going to survive, to a lower level of care in the hospital where Walker improved daily, to rehab where Walker and Lindsey worked their butts off…Lindsey and Walker were able to come home to me on Christmas Eve. How Amazing is our God!?
Home feels like home again…
Walker has adjusted to being back in his room after a couple of rough nights. Every day he has slept a little more, laughed a little louder, and smiled a little bigger. He is eating very well and all bowel movements are regular without the help of medication.
Lindsey is rested and strong as ever. She is enjoying her own bed, bath, house, and not living out of a suitcase anymore.
We were able to go look at Christmas lights as a family and go on walks. Life is seeming to come back to normal pretty quickly.
It’s has been a incredibly tough journey for all of us but the journey is not over. We have multiple appointments before the year is over. Hopefully we can get his implant surgery scheduled for early next year and all his out patient rehab set up.
Thank you all for your gracious gifts, donations, prayers, love and support. I realize many of whom we have never met and probably never will on this earth. One day though, in eternity we can all gather around Walker and remember the Miracle Man that God saved from certain death and rejoice.
Prayers moving forward are:
For his implant surgery, rehab, mobility improvement, strength, and continued peace.
